I just sent my b30 for repair on handle, stitches and cleaning
The quote in hkd ( divided by 7.8 for usd )
Cleaning $2220
Handle $2460
Stitches $980

My friend took it to the shop for me so I am not sure are those pricing refers to spot repairing or repairing the whole side / flap etc. The handle only needs to fix the resin.[/QUOTE]

——————————————
you mean you just had the handles fixed the resin for HKD2460?
I thought you had them completely changed into new handles for only HKD2460... cause one part of my birkin handle shape has changed... (the part which looks like pear shaped diamonds)

I picked up my bag, they only fixed the resin with a bit of touch up and cleaning. Not new handle.

thx!

May I know is it free of charge for first year of purchase?
Not as such.
Repairs are free only for things that shouldn't happen. Scuff the corners, get a stain, it's your fault and you pay. A bag comes unstitched or hardware is loose, they will fix gratis. There is no official time or rule on this, but for example I had Birkin handles come unstitched 4 years in, they offered me replacement handles at $2500, I said "the bag is only 4 years old!" and they repaired gratis.

Will H let you spa a preowned bag? It’s from 2006, and as I read through the forum it didn’t seem like they required a receipt...but some people say they do...

My SA also doesn’t know I bought a B, so I feel a little strange asking her to send a preloved B to the spa (since I’ve just recently established a good relationship with her and not sure how she feels about buying secondhand). Maybe I can just go to another store to send it to the H spa?

Yes, H will let you spa a pre-owned bag. I just had a vintage bag repaired. It took months!

When you bring in your bag to spa, do you have to bring everything? Dust bag, clochette, lock, keys etc? I’m considering spa-ing my 4 yo B30 but there’s not much wrong with it so probably just needs some cleaning and overall loving. I never use keys/lock so it’s pristine in the box and I don’t anticipate needing anything done to it but not sure if H wants to see everything when you bring in for spa. TIA!

I don’t know about everywhere else but I didn’t take my padlock or dust bag when I dropped my B30 off in London. I pretty much never use the padlock and last time I took a bag in for spa they gave me a new dust bag afterwards.

You can leave all of this at home. You may want to include the clochette just in case they need to do a color touch up on the bag though.
