Hello! In case it's useful to anyone, spa prices received today for a K32. These are in Australian dollars. And for reference for anyone in Sydney, I've been told this time of year is usually the quickest for the spa, and it has taken about 6 weeks since I sent it in to receive the quote. So pretty much on target with the estimate, which was 3 months total time in spa.

Cleaning and refinishing - $340
Replace swivel clasp - $205
Stitching gussets - $155
Replace hanging cord - $100

Great Info!!! I was just about to drop off my Black B for cleaning & refinishing as it looks dusty.

I read on the first page of this thread that a member had a clemence birkin redyed in parts to cover some white spots. Does anyone know if indeed Hermes is able to touch up discolouration, eg Kelly flap or Birkin handles with colour fading if they are fjord / togo / chevre? Thanks.

Sorry, what is a hanging cord? Thanks!

That is surprisingly affordable and quick! I thought the turnlock would be much more :)

I just droped off my Jypsiere for cleaning and refinishing at BH store, and was quoted $330 and 8 weeks wait time. The two D Rings tarnished so hopefully they can clean them without having to replace. I was also told that PHW does tarnish...:confused1:

I posted this in Hermes repair/refurbish thread but thought it should go here too:

I dropped off a friend's 2002 B40 that was really beat up. Here is the spa pricing for items needed on her bag.the referenced cuts on the handles resulted from her then puppy getting a hold of it.

Spa treatment $330
Re-Stitch Inside Pocket Only $45
New Hardware $530
Gussets $145.
Also the Crafts team recommend replacement of handles, there are cuts on the handles that they can attempt to repair - without guarantee, but ultimately they would recommend replacing the handles, which would be $1375.

This thread is extremely helpful, thanks everyone!

I've just purchased a pre-loved Bolide 37 in Ardennes leather and the inside needs a deep cleaning. Thanks to this thread, I've read that Hermes spa doesn't clean interiors.

Would you recommend I send it for Hermes spa treatment first for leather cleaning and then to say Arrow Leathercare for the interior? Would this prevent future Hermes spa treatments? What would you suggest?

I am by no means an expert, but if it were me and the exterior needed attention I would definitely send it to Hermes first to get that sorted, then worry about the interior later or just use a bag liner if Hermes may refuse to spa it in the future?

Thanks ToniMichelle. I'm still unsure on how I'll handle this restoration. I spoke to aftercare in the SF store, and it was suggested I send it to Arrow for the lining first, then to Hermes for the rest of the bag. She mentioned interior cleaning wouldn't prevent the bag from being serviced in the future.

Like you said, somehow I'd feel better w Hermes taking care of all that they would and I send the bag to Arrow for finishing whatever Hermes wouldn't do. I'll share the process, my results and the costs when complete.
