I just received a vintage box Constance 23. Most of the bag is in good condition for its age, soft and smooth and just needs a conditioning. However, the top part of the flap near the bending points shows dryness with the start of cracking and even one actual small crack over the stitches. The strap is soft but in poor shape with many dryness/starting to crack areas and one large crack at the seam. Can Hermes condition the bag and repair or replace the strap? Has anyone had this done? Any idea of the cost for a replacement strap for a Constance (assuming that it cannot be repaired)?

Hello, I have a question and maybe someone knows the answer.

The heat stamp (Hermes Paris made in France) has faded on one of my bags.

My first question: Can I get a restamp at the Spa?
Second question: The bag is pre-owned so I don't know about the history. In case it has been to a non-Hermes Spa, will Hermes restamp?

Thanks in advance for any help

Totally off the current topic but just received my K35 back from the BH store spa and the price was $400 USD. There were a few faint scuff marks at two of the edges but everything else was perfect on it. My K35 is probably four years old maximum and I am OCD about babying her.

Just in case anyone is considering taking your H bag to get a spa treatment, I think that $400, what I was charged is the current rate. If anyone is good with applying products I recommend Docride's kits sold on ebay.
I spa'd my goldie B prior to selling her last October timeframe... I wasn't quoted an amount bc I didn't ask. Thought it would be minimal and was quite shocked to get a bill for $350. She had her resin fixed on the top of the bag and very minor corner wear was touched up and made perfect. I was very happy with the result .... but shocked.

Yes they will re stamp if faded
I done it before
However if a bag has been done outside before and they realised that
No work will be carried out

Hello. I hope someone can advice me on this.

I was given a Hermes herbag by my mom (purchased in EU) as a gift. I used it a few times then I placed it back into the dust bag and box and never used it for a while.

Today I brought it out of the box and saw some spots which I believe is mold  and the canvas part seem to have a faint discoloration.

I've cleaned it with a damp towel and air dry it but I'm not sure if that removes the mold. Question is, I've read about H spa in this forum -- does anyone know how much this will cost in Singapore?

As it's a gift I don't have a receipt with me. Do I need to show that in order to have it cleaned?

Much appreciate your advice!

You dont need a receipt to spa...as long as it is an authentic Hermes, they will take it for spa. If you read back on this thread there are some people whove done spa work in Singapore - seems its the same, 150~600 range on average in usd?

And a piece of advice on storage: do not store your bag in the box - not very good for air circulation which can encourage mould to grow.
This is especially a nightmare in a very humid climate like Singapore! Store in the dustbag, its made of a breathable material. Also consider buying humidity-absorbent packs - they are widely available and inexpensive - and keep them in the closet where you store your bags. I live in Korea which is nowhere near as humid as singapore, but I still use humidity absorbers during the summer and they absorb a good amount of water! Ive had a cup or two's worth in rye course of a month! Mold can and will grow on leather in humid, dark, warm conditions, so take care with storage. Also try to keep your bags in a less humid room, e.g. the room that has your aircon, for example. The aircon dries the air quite a bit.

Mold is very stubborn...I would send it to spa. I dont think itll cost you a lot because the spa procedures that ratchet up a cost are usually complex structure issues like re - stitching and hardware changing. Your case is more of a conditioning job. Probably be around 100 usd.

Hello! I visited the Hermes location at Madison Avenue in New York City today (March 24, 2017) with my two vintage Hermes Kelly bags 32cm Gold w/GHW and 35cm Indigo w/GHW. The Gold Kelly had very worn edges and pen marks on the inside. My Indigo Kelly's handle was coming lose and was scuffed. For those of you who are apprehensive about going in to have your vintage handbag serviced, let me just say, this was my first visit to Hermes (EVER) - I went after work with my curly hair a hot mess from a woolly hat and my natural deodorant was failing me miserably and I was dressed very office casual - nothing fancy, and I had NO PROBLEMS. The repair services are located on the 3rd floor - so when you enter just go up the spiral staircase and when you arrive just ask for repair services. There is a small door at the very back of the floor which the SA will guide you to, she'll pop her head into the backroom and ask someone to assist you. A repair specialist will then escort you to a side table and ask to see the items. She will inspect them and begin filling out a form and she will ask you to point out any issues. As previously discussed here, I can confirm that they do not clean the inside of handbags...so the pen marks inside my 32cm Kelly will remain indefinitely! She never asked for a receipt nor did she ask me how I acquired the handbags...in fact she didn't seem to care about anything really other than getting my bags processed as quickly as possible. I would say the service was prompt and courteous but not overly friendly. She said the Kelly 32cm should be ready in several weeks - they will call me to confirm and the Kelly 35cm might take months - she was concerned they would have to special order leather replacement parts because the indigo color was seasonal- they will also call to confirm. At this point, I am just waiting for a follow-up phone call.

Here are some prices based on today's visit:
General cleaning and refurbishment - $330
Repair of Kelly 35cm handle - $640 (requires leather replacement and restitching)

So helpful, thank you. BTW, you can probably get those pen marks out at least partially with Lexol cleaning wipes :)
