My BBK 32 has a surface crack on the tension part of the shoulder strap. This picture looks worse than it is because of the dark shadows, it's really just the surface but I would like to correct it if I can.

I'm pretty sure nothing can be done once the leather has cracked. They will condition it, but the crack will not go away. That being said, I have had the best results with the San Francisco craftsman, so it's definitely worth taking it in and asking what he can do with it.

I agree with ouija board. The h spa in Paris would definitely suggest replacing the strap and provide you the estimated price. You can think about it.
There's a leather filling technique some people do to fix cracks but I don't know if H craftsman will do it. Essentially it's like applying a thin layer over the crack to seal, buff to flatten, and do some color fixes. I guess I have to take it to H and see what they say.
Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the hardware on a Kelly? Specifically, the turnkey and the piece of metal the turnkey goes through. I've seen a couple of Kellys from resellers lately that are attractively priced but have damaged hardware. Thanks.
I had changed the turnkey on my Kelly last year. The price was around $280.

The clear plastic plate on the back of my Constance lock cracked and Hermes replaced it for free. This is a first and a total surprise.
