Hermes spa pricing

Hi all... My bag has finally returned! I gave it to Hermes on February 27th, got a price estimate April 15th and got the call to get her today! One thing I wanted to note, all prices I listed are in Euro, not Canadian, a bit of a surprise when I picked it up.

But they did a great job restitching the flap and corners and they reglazed all edges. The only slight disappointment was paying for the cleaning and polishing. At $213 Euro, it looked no different than what I do following Docride's method. I was curious about their polishing, now I know, but likely won't pay for that in the future. The bag is 'P' so for 1960, it's got some issues but looks better now. Sorry I don't have any before pics of the corners...

After picture of one corner and the full side reglazed, times two more; I had three corners done.

yesterday, rome, left my bbk 35 at via condotti because one enchape (sorry I don't know how to call that bit of leather in english) was torn apart:

remplacement poignée and enchapes: euro 820
general cleaning and rehydrating: euro 213.

bag will be ready in 3 weeks: they now have a craftsman in rome.
I will post invoice and pics as soon as I get it back. :smile1:

This was so helpful thank you! I am interested about reglazing...do you mean the resin on the outer edges of your sellier bag? I was told the resin cannot be replaced but certainly this thread gave me a different view :)
Beautiful heritage bag!!!

Thank you! Yes, they definitely removed the old resin and replaced all the resin on every edge of the bag. The flap was restitched as were three of the corners. The replacement of the resin was unexpected and quite an improvement in my opinion. I wished I had taken before pics but the after was remarkable. I'm presuming it was the restitching that prompted the resin replacement.

well it took well more than 3 weeks: 4 months, but they had to order the handle in paris as they say it's impossible to make it here in italy. and they put the new kelly2 handle instead of the old one.
pics before (before the handle was actually torn apart) and after, together with invoice. great job, bag looks almost like new.

Wow! She looks brand new! Excellent restoration job. Enjoy!

I wonder how this is possible to happen to hermes bags!

The just bought a used in good condition birkin, and now after using it for 1 month, the handles started to open, any idea how this could happen to a birkin ? We pay so much for the bag itself, do we also have to pay for repair?

And does anyone know how much does it cost to repair the handles as the wax opened ?
