BTW, buying a non-quota bag actually delays your quota bag. My SA told me this recently, it could be a change as I read from previous post (from last year) someone said that non-QB improves your chance of getting a quota bag. I was discussing my 3rd QB with my SA and she also said that each QB must be at least 6 months apart. My 1st and 2nd QB was exactly 6 months apart, although I hit the prespend 2 months after getting my 1st QB.

Hi, thanks for sharing this. Can you clarify if you have received your 2 different QBs 6 months apart? That's fast, isn't it. Did you get them in taka or liat?

This discussion with your SA, is it recent or from last year?

Lemme share what I found out about SG (I relocated back to SG and had to restart this journey).

1. 2 QBs a calendar year.
2. Pre-spend doesn’t include your other bag purchases.
3. And you’re unlikely to get a mini Lindy until after your first QB.
4. WOC & slim wallets are hard to get in sg. 5. Gotta wait around 6-9 months for some popular FJ.
6. Be super nice to your SA coz they are really stretched! So many customers wanting stuff and they need to spread the love. Sometimes if I’m running late, my SA will say ok I quickly go toilet now. Feel bad for her.

Thanks for sharing whay you know! May i know what is WOC? I have been pondering about it for the past minute hahaha

Always been told getting any Bag, there needs to be a “cooling period” at least 3 months.

Yes, 1 K25 and K28. I have a B25 from a reseller and she is totally aware of it and seen it.
The discussion is recent, ie 2022.

The following is my own perception/observation and not info given by my SA.
1. My SA does not send photos or proactively let me know what's available, I think they are overwhelmed and probably only the diligent ones do that.

2. She said that there is a good number of customers who are keen to buy just 1 bag and do not come back again after getting the bag. I noticed that our relationship improved after my 2nd QB, perhaps she thinks that I can be a loyal customer. Initially she is a transactional SA, ask and reply, nothing more. I told to my friend, McDonalds staff are more polite and customer-oriented than H staff.
SAs do not like it when customers go and start comparing, eg "why am I not getting my bag? I read on the H forum that a customer gets 2 bags 6 months apart". I am guilty of it and my SA tells me that when the time comes, she will ask me. Of course as I mentioned in an earlier post that she asked me to spend another $10K after I hit my prespend; they can be blur too. She never admitted being blur but told me to wait and not buy anything after I checked and let her know. Afterall SAs are human. The 3rd QB bag discussion was brought up by her, so I think she is more careful now.

3. I realised that there are many good stuff kept behind the door. Maybe in 2021, there are more stocks, so I will browse the shelves and she went in to get new stock or a different color. Now we skip the shelves, she brings out stock that are not displayed. I will not go into examples as I was told that they monitor social media. I do not want to be identified, I also need to protect my SA as they get into trouble too. She still does not proactively reserve things for me or ask me to go down, so I envy those who have more pro-active SAs.

4. I was told that SAs have to chope the hot stock immediately when it arrives at the store, some SAs are better than choping than others; indication of low inventory vs customer demand. Not enough for every SA.

5. This is 100% my own conclusion after I compared notes with my friend, I have never confirmed with my SA. Different SAs operate differently when it comes to giving QB. SA make judgement on what you should get. Some try to get the exact combo(best possible combo vs prespend) that you want but some will give you a slight variation(maybe PHW instead of GHW, if you say gray, then maybe a less popular gray). Totally SA's judgement and not store policy.

6. For my SA, my spending while waiting for a QB cannot be counted towards the next bag, however, more prespend will help her to justify for a combo that is harder to get.

7. Use and wear what you bought. They keep track and try to suss out if you are a reseller or not.

Please take the above with a pinch of salt. Everyone's journey, purchase history and SA style is different; it is not a fixed formula. With that said, the pre-spend and transparency in SG seems to be the easiest to navigate. I have read about the higher prespend in US and China, see I am guilty of comparing.

In my (nearly 2 decades) experience shopping at Hermes, I've found that SAs all over the world (of course, this is pre-COVID) appreciate it more when I don't want/reject certain items.

I will have honest discussions with them (whether my regular SA or a new random SA I meet while traveling) about what I already own, what I'm looking for etc and what I'm concerned is too close to a color I already have, and I find that when I do this, and being very firm about my preferences and being firm about not buying what I don't like or want or truly love, has actually helped me score many of my grail bags.

I was once offered an anemone B as a first-time walk-in in London, simply because I talked to the SA about how I didn't want certain colors and was gravitating towards others. It was a surprise and he explicitly told me "I'm offering this to you because I think you know what you love about this brand, and what suits you, and you aren't just buying any random thing that you don't love."

If you read H's latest published AR, they noted that their revenue dropped because of low stock and supply chain issues, so I won't be surprised if you aren't getting offered QBs or other stuff on your wishlists simply because there isn't anything to offer. But I would also caution against just simply buying what you maybe like, or think you may fall in love with later but aren't sure, because the SAs can tell.

And in all my years shopping at H, the one thing that turns SAs off completely are people who are only there for the QBs - they've always been more open, willing to serve and appreciative of customers who appreciate the brand as a whole, and not buying just to score a QB.

re point 7, it’s true. There was a time I was stalking new shipment to clock my prespend, I walked in without an appointment with my SA, the boutique thought I was a reseller.

Babe! It's nice to see you back here and giving all this great advice which I totally agree with. I notice also that my FSH SAs give me better bag options the more I explain why I am declining the first few which they read out from their phone list. It illustrates your point and it also helps my SAs understands how I choose to add to my collection.
