6. Be super nice to your SA coz they are really stretched! So many customers wanting stuff and they need to spread the love. Sometimes if I’m running late, my SA will say ok I quickly go toilet now. Feel bad for her.

I would be careful to qualify on being nice. No need to put Hermes or the SA on a pedestal.

I think being nice as a customer is
1. To be decisive on what you want and buy the item when it’s being sourced for you
2. Try to keep to appointment times
3. Be patient, always know that there r bigger spenders than you
4. Follow up on QBs, wishlist items in a nice manner
5. Show appreciation for your SA.
6. Go with the flow with Your SA. U know there r things you might have to buy to achieve the greater good for yourself and things which you may not be able to get so much of to avoid pitfalls in your journey. Don’t put your SA between a wall and a hard place ie you and his/her management.

Actually I think show appreciation doesn’t mean just buy snacks and drinks for the SA. Of course, it’s a nice gesture. Sometimes I get gifts for my friends that my SA helped me with, after that they would text me how delighted they are about their gift. I would then show my SA their msgs. I feel it makes her happy too!

Recently, I just bought a small gift for my SA to share with the team. That’s after 1 year of working together with her and I would like to acknowledge her efforts in helping me.

If it helps, my SA doesnt reply as much as she used to. One time, I visited the store as walk in (took a queue). Luckily, when it was my turn, I saw her by the door and I immediately said Hi and she was free to accommodate me. I said I did not bother asking her for an appointment beforehand because I wasnt even planning on going that day and I just wanted to browse. So since she is the one assisting me, I reiterated the things I sent her. Even though she doesnt reply much - SHE REMEMBERS the things I want. She even remember the colors and sizes. She said they are super busy and understaffed. I think they are really overwhelmed these days with so many customers old and new and stocks so low.

on a side note

I just want to share a summary of what I’ve learned from my several years of Hermes journey not just in SG but in other countries
  1. BE NICE/RESPECTFUL ALWAYS - not just to your SA but to everybody
  2. BE PATIENT - patience is a virtue in getting the things you want with Hermes so be prepared to wait, could be days, weeks or months
  3. BE FLEXIBLE - what you want will not be available all the time in the exact specs/combination that you like, you need to be prepared to be open to variations
  4. DONT COMPARE - dont compare your journey with other clients, it will get you nowhere and might just backfire, every journey is different, take others’ experiencese more of as a guide than a hard and fast rule
  5. ENJOY - Enjoy the process of buying what you like while building a relationship with your SA and the store
  6. If you are not prepared for the above - go the reseller route

I recently picked up something at Liat and there are many bags being brought out to clients to see (Saturday morning 11am). And lots of rtws coming from the stockroom (I picked up a scarf ).
I have a friend who was ghosted by her SA in LT after supporting this SA for a year in the hope of scoring her first QB bag, but she was able to get a birkin from MBS under her sister's name (her sister was just her 2nd account and didnt expect to get offered a QB). When her Liat SA saw her birkin, her SA quietly gave her a gift (calvi). Is this even allowed? So now her SA in LT is trying to make up but she stopped and started buying in MBS.

I would also suggest going to the store early morning! seems stocks appear or you get to see what others are offered!
Really! Will you carry a bag that is not from the same boutique to the shop? Like from Paris.. or resellers..
I just thought by doing so, might affect the decision of SA whether to offer a bag or not.

I have carried bags I got overseas to my store here locally and my SA is fine with it. It actually makes you look serious about spending and being a loyal customer of the brand.
With the new global system in place, they can probably see it anyway.
Just my thoughts.

BTW, buying a non-quota bag actually delays your quota bag. My SA told me this recently, it could be a change as I read from previous post (from last year) someone said that non-QB improves your chance of getting a quota bag. I was discussing my 3rd QB with my SA and she also said that each QB must be at least 6 months apart. My 1st and 2nd QB was exactly 6 months apart, although I hit the prespend 2 months after getting my 1st QB.

Lemme share what I found out about SG (I relocated back to SG and had to restart this journey).

1. 2 QBs a calendar year.
2. Pre-spend doesn’t include your other bag purchases.
3. And you’re unlikely to get a mini Lindy until after your first QB.
4. WOC & slim wallets are hard to get in sg. 5. Gotta wait around 6-9 months for some popular FJ.
6. Be super nice to your SA coz they are really stretched! So many customers wanting stuff and they need to spread the love. Sometimes if I’m running late, my SA will say ok I quickly go toilet now. Feel bad for her.
Do you know why WOC is so hard to get in Singapore? Thanks!
