KL, there is also another orange 30cm lindy listed on Portero.com but the price is slightly higher there. I am not sure about it being available in potiron(darker orange), as I've not seen one so far. Luxury-shops accept all major credit cards as well as bank wire transfer. They ship pretty fast and do not charge for shipping, which is an added bonus IMHO  as we all know fedex can be costly for us since we are all the way on this side of the planet..

Maddox: The Lindy on Portero is with different hardware, meanwhile the Lindy on Luxury is gold-plated. IMO, prefer the gold-plated more. BTW, if I decide to purchase via bank wire. How does that work?

Kristinelooi, I personally have not bought anything from Luxury before but judging from the raves I have heard from my friends who did as well as the posts in the forum, I believe you will have nothing but best shopping experience with the guys at Luxury. You can always search for posts about them at the Shopping section.

I had a Swift Kelly for slightly more than 2 years and the leather still hold ups very well. Being a rough person (I don't baby my bags), I am surprised the leather has no scratches at all! My boxcalf kelly which is less than a year old is already quite "disfigured". LOL.

If you have internet banking access, there should be an option for bank transfer. Luxury Zurich will give you their bank details, and you just request for a transfer through your bank's website. It will take a couple of days at most for the funds to be wired across.

Note that there will be bank wire charges, which you would have to bear, and there might also be commission for currency exchange. Luxury Zurich will gladly take USD, so if you have a USD account (like I do), then there is no exchange involved.

Note also that you will have to state in your bank transfer request that all charges involved should be borne by you, the sender; otherwise, your receipient might not receive the full amount.

Finally, there is a limit to the amount that might be transferred per day or per transaction, depending on what is set up in your bank account, so you would need to apply for a lift of that limit if the amount exceeds your currrent limit.

Thanks! I shall do that first thing Monday morning then.

On second thought, I can also do so using telegraphic transfer instead of using internet banking for funds transfer. I work in a bank so TT charges are waived.

Actually, it is the same thing. As I understand, bank transfer to banks outside of the country is always TT anyway. Just that the TT request on most internet banking systems is under the same option as bank transfers within the country – used to be that one has to go physically to the bank to do that. Great that you can save on TT charges – I wish I could save on them!

Thanks so much Roxanne. Btw, it is late - you still up?

In addition to fee waivers, as a bank employee, you get preferential (staff) rates for foreign exchange (FX)!

I see you've received much help from the other members already  If all goes well, you will get your bag sooner than you thought, which is what is so wonderful about this forum! Please share with us a reveal if you finally decide to proceed with the purchase!

Hi P, I understand if i had this bag for a while but i only got it late Jan(L Stamped), few days before CNY. I have bags from 06, 07, 08. Even a vintage Kelly. No problem at all so i have reason to belive the workmanship is shoddy?.
