My pleasure!

Maddox: Had a good look of the Orange Lindy and did a search to find out more about the type of leather - Veau Swift. I have some questions which I hope some ladies here can help me out...
1) Is the Swift difficult to maintain compared to other leather types?
2) Based on the item listed, is it a 30 or 34?
3) What is your experience purchasing from Luxury.com?

Thanks in advance!

1. It depends entirely on individual. I find Swift leather is quite easy to maintain.

2. From the measurement provided, looks like its Lindy 30.

3. They are a great re-seller. I purchased from them a few times. Prompt response to e-mails and they ship quickly .

KL, it says Lindy PM and gives the measurement of 30cm. I recently just bought a black box birkin off of them and Mario is such an easy person to work and communicate with! Super fast and efficient. I've also read great reviews on them by our very own members here

IMHO, this lindy is listed at a great price(at least compared to the prices here in KL), its also in great condition! :graucho: And though I don't own any in swift(yet, cross fingers lol)it is one of the best leathers for colors as it absorbs colors so well and has such a velvety feel and look to it. And like they all say... with swift, you can easily get rid of scratches by rubbing your fingers gently on the bag:tup:

Good Luck!

Maddox: The price is reasonable for pre-loved piece. Furthermore Orange is the color I am looking for. Does the Lindy come in a darker shade of Orange by any chance?

What is the procedure like to purchase it from Luxury.com? I am not aware of the importing guidelines in Singapore..anyone care to share or provide me info?

Orange in clemence will look slightly darker, but if one is going for orange (or any other colour that screams "Look at me!"), I think the brighter the better.

Pete and Mario (Luxury-Zurich) are wonderful to work with. They ship FedEx and under-declare the value as less than SGD400 (technically illegal) so no GST is levied on import of their bags into Singapore. Because FedEx acts as a broker for Singapore Customs, they will base the value on what is declared by the shipper. Apparently, they insure their shipments separately, so should anything go wrong, they would still be able to compensate you.

Hi ladies,

I've just purchased a bleu de prusse 35' flat kelly. I was hoping that some of you could share your experience with this bag if you own one. My SA tells me that this bag is rather rare and I've also noticed that the price is higher than a normal kelly. Can anyone enlighten me on that? Also, is there a good resale value for the kelly flat? I'm not sure if I'm regretting my purchase... ...:confused1:

TIA!

^^ I made a reply to the Kelly Flat thread as well. My experience is that Kelly Flat is not easily available as the store probably do not order many. It is costlier than a regular Kelly 35 mainly due to the construction of the bag, a sellier that collapses and folds up. In addition, the leather is Swift which is more expensive than Togo/Clemence. Bleu de Prusse Swift is lovely, please share a pic with us!

With regards to resale value, all I can say is that one should buy only if the bag sings to you. Due to its size and construction of the bag, I would say Kelly Flat is like a delicacy that either one loves it or don't. In other words, not everyone's cup of tea.

KL, there is also another orange 30cm lindy listed on Portero.com but the price is slightly higher there. I am not sure about it being available in potiron(darker orange), as I've not seen one so far. Luxury-shops accept all major credit cards as well as bank wire transfer. They ship pretty fast and do not charge for shipping, which is an added bonus IMHO  as we all know fedex can be costly for us since we are all the way on this side of the planet..

Tobit, I agree with piggy when she says that a Kelly Flat may not be everyone's cup of tea :smile1: However, it is a very beautiful bag, quite delicate if you ask me... A white one was offered to me at my local boutique and it was absolutely gorgeous. However, since I tend to be rough with my bags(box is as gentle as I go! lol), I had to pass on it. I'm not sure about resale value.. I have seen a couple on the resellers websites that sit there for quite some time but then again, it depends on the color to most people... like piggy says.. it all depends if it sings to the person..

All this doesnt take away from the fact that it is a beautiful bag, just a matter of whether you love it, or not :smile1:

Potiron is a darker orange, like pumpkin. I understand the colour has not been in general production for a while. So it is unlikely you'd find one in a Lindy.

Personally I prefer the Lindy in Swift, makes it more elegant. Then again, I'm not a big Clemence fan.

Hi ms piggy and maddox,

Thanks for your prompt replies. You ladies have definitely made me see the kelly flat in a different light! Yup, I will keep the bag! I do love the intensity of the colour and the smooth buttery leather! Will post pix soon!

Thanks again!:smile1:

Hi ladies, I'm thinking of bringing my kelly in for cleaning...do they provide that service at Liat? Any idea how much it'd cost and how long it'd take? TIA!!!

Tobit I am looking forward to seeing pics of the BdP Kelly Flat!

dreamdoll, you can certainly bring the Kelly to Liat. It would take 6-8 weeks (depending on the volume) and cost about S$200 +/-.

Thanks to both Maddox and Roxane for the great help...
