The saying from my SA when I started buying goes like this “buy what u like and the (quota) bag will come eventually”. That is kind of a positive assurance previously given.

Now, I was told, they can’t even say that. They tell new customers to buy what they like but it doesn’t mean they will be allocated.
sounds like a tactic to me, but I could be wrong.

Hmm I think whether there is any promise of a bag may differ based on how SAs communicate. From reading this thread it seems to have been communicated to some members that they just need to hit a certain pre-spend amount ($18K-20K) in items that count towards pre-spend and they will get a bag, though the waiting time may be long and they may not get offered exactly what they requested, with the option to continue waiting or take the offer. Also the stores/SAs that allow rollover of pre-spend for the next or next next qb are essentially promising that there will be future qbs allocated.

In my case I never asked and my SA never told me an exact figure. My SA also said “subject to approval, but should be no problem” when my profile was deemed ready. So there was never a promise, until I was informed that it was approved and we are just waiting for the requested specs. Maybe my SA is more cautious.
Well said! Can you rollover your prespend and which outlet are you with?

I still couldn't believe that this bag come from SG stores... Is it possible that the bags from overseas? Some ppl get 2 bags at 1 go (1 QB & 1 non-QB) frm FSH. And C is not considered QB there...
I saw on Xhs before some people posted they bought 2 of such bags at one go at SG boutiques and coincidentally mostly foreigners who frequent Singapore (I believe can spend tens of thousands of dollars for each visit) due to their country’s prespend being higher. But again, some posts on xhs is just to attract traffic.

LT. Cannot rollover.

How long did it take from the time your profile was ready to your request being approved? Do SAs usually explicitly tell the customer that it is 'approved'?

About 4 or 5 weeks, but my SA mentioned in person it was approved when I dropped in to buy seasonal items. Prior to that I didn’t go in again after the convo on submitting for approval or bring it up. Actually I’m not sure I would have gotten a clear answer if I had asked on whatsapp so I don’t know what is the exact timeframe from submission to approval. Perhaps more experienced members can chime in.

I’m a 2022 baby. My timeframe about the same as you and I ponder about whether I would get an answer if I had asked on WhatsApp.

May I ask if anyone knows how they classify who is VIP? As in under what criteria?
I would share my experience regarding time your way, I was no way a VIP when I was offered a few years ago. My SA informed me that they are free to offer the watch customisation to any of their clients, and for them, they need to clock in the sales for time your way, so it is a win-win situation, it helps the SA, it helps the client move faster in aqcquiring the QB.

Hi everyone! Would appreciate some advice here. I’ve accumulated a pre-spend of around $12k, but it is distributed amongst all 3 boutiques, with different SAs and over the course of 2 years. I guess I was trying to project “brand loyalty” to the SAs by walking in and only buying things that I like and will use, but from what I’m reading from here, it seems like store and SA loyalty is more important? So I guess what I’m trying to ask is, will an SA look at my pre-spend from across all stores and still take these into account for a QB, despite the fact that these past purchases were not made with him/ her? Thank you for reading this far and helping to dish advice! :)

I just collected my qb when the watch customisation took place but before collecting my qb I’ve already hit my prespend for next bag. My sa didn’t offer me, I guess it’s because I’m not vip but at the same time I wouldn’t go for it as I don’t want my prespend to go too high for my next bag.

On the contrary my friend’s sa invited her to watch customisation after she has met prespend and she asked for qb. However my friend didn’t go for it as she didn’t want her prespend to go too high too. If she had gone for it, would it help her get her qb faster?

Typically which months would the watch customisation be?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work this way. It’s best that you stick to 1 SA 1 store.

Oh no….what if a customer made it known to his or her sa on first visit that they are aiming for qb? I believe rightfully the sa should not still tell them to buy what they like?
Hermes will always tell the customer to buy whatever they like. According to what I was told, the SA will also say that it doesn’t mean they will get a qb.

The customer who is being represented this way will need to take it as it is. No SA will want a customer beating down the door for a qb “owed” to them.

Unfortunately it has to be from the same store and same SA. If the SA is nice they might consider the other purchases at the same store with other SAs as part of the pre-spend, but that depends on the SA and the store. Hope this helps

I always thought that if the profile is good enough, they will help the customer to get a quota bag. Just that the definition of ‘good enough’ remains a mystery.
