I just picked up some clic clacs today and just had a chat with my SA, he informed that there is over demand of QB now and they do struggle allocating to new clients (2 years below), but they do want to make sure the clients get their bags.
Lots of rtws, if you are looking for a few!
Heard similar. The version I heard was that new clients are not promised any allocation of quota bag. They can buy things as they like but may not be allocated any quota bag.

I was considering to share or not, in case this news cause a panic.

But there is never any promise of quota bag to start with is there? Reminds me of the case of the man who sued Patek phillipe for not selling him a watch after he prespent. Maybe they want to avoid this situation, so better say there is no promise

Hmm I think whether there is any promise of a bag may differ based on how SAs communicate. From reading this thread it seems to have been communicated to some members that they just need to hit a certain pre-spend amount ($18K-20K) in items that count towards pre-spend and they will get a bag, though the waiting time may be long and they may not get offered exactly what they requested, with the option to continue waiting or take the offer. Also the stores/SAs that allow rollover of pre-spend for the next or next next qb are essentially promising that there will be future qbs allocated.

In my case I never asked and my SA never told me an exact figure. My SA also said “subject to approval, but should be no problem” when my profile was deemed ready. So there was never a promise, until I was informed that it was approved and we are just waiting for the requested specs. Maybe my SA is more cautious.

Was discussing with my SA about the economic shift that we seen from pre-covid, covid to post-covid. Even with Hermes stepping up on production with new workshops and more artisans, the demand is greater than before. They now have to juggle and split their time with existing clients and influx of new clients (local and overseas). Some do not ask for QBs, but there're many who expects to get QBs within a timespan / pre-spend amount. It certainly isn't easy for everyone. There're only x numbers of QBs available and things they can sell. And we can truly are seeing the effects from the customer experiences shared in this forum.

Strategies that worked previously may not work 100% now. The key takeaway is still have some patience and establish a pleasant relationship with a SA whom you enjoy shopping with.

There are a lot of factors when comes to bag offerings. These days the SA are being so tricky. They will have lots of stories, telling you how it become difficult etc. I once encounter one SA, who literally show me a client record (I did not even asked for it) who have hundred of thousand dollars of spending in her record. Just to show that how good she is as a sales, and what kind of customer Hermes has these days. In the end, that's not even her own client. Never afraid to complain if there are any unfair treatment. We all try to play nice, play by the book, but the QBs always goes to resellers. LuxLexi just posted this Constance, and clearly mention the receipt is shared with a Kelly 20. Like, greater demand or other other factors? God knows.

Yes I saw the post too! That client must be one of those VIPs!

The saying from my SA when I started buying goes like this “buy what u like and the (quota) bag will come eventually”. That is kind of a positive assurance previously given.

Now, I was told, they can’t even say that. They tell new customers to buy what they like but it doesn’t mean they will be allocated.

Wah, this is scary. Means hit prespend won’t even get to queue for quota bags?

I did watch customisation this time around. I don’t think it’s for vip ( l’m def not) but it has limited slots. The duration was open for 2 weeks, ‘while slots last’. Only know there was heurre h, cap cod and ?arceau available for customization. U can choose the size, face and strap. The face had some unique designs which are not usually seen on ready to buy. I wanted mini 21mm heurre h but the smallest available was 25mm. Main advantage for me was can choose double tour strap, strap colour and can order extra strap. Deposit is 50%
May I ask if anyone knows how they classify who is VIP? As in under what criteria?

Hi all! New to this forum. Wanted to check if any of you have any SAs to recommend? I want to start my Hermes journey, but every visit to the boutique in SG has been disappointing. The SAs that I've met are generally disinterested and customer service is bad. Would love to find an SA that is friendly and willing to help. Thanks in advance!
Echoing what the rest has said to visit a few more times to different outlets. My first encounter at H was with a SA recommended by my friend but I just don’t like her style so I ventured to another boutique myself and found my sa on the first visit. After a few months, my hub also opened his account at another boutique when we visited that boutique for the first time too. Both are during peak period. I feel different SA’s style suit different customers and they also treat different customers differently. The sensitivity about having customers who knows one another is they may compare.

How long did it take from the time your profile was ready to your request being approved? Do SAs usually explicitly tell the customer that it is 'approved'?
