If I want a bag monthly, if not every other month or so. Or will do one large purchase (>20k) and then not go back for a few months. I feel our store is very competitive and if I am not spending, I am not going to be considered for the bag I want.
Agreed. I do sometimes do a small purchase like a 90cm scarf, but I'll make it quick--I'll be in and out in 10-15 minutes or less. I end up going in usually monthly. My SA does tell me this helps keep me top of her mind and also I'm sure it helps with her sales KPIs. I am pretty sure I said it before, but I do think our store is one of the most competitive ones in the US, and I feel like it's more competitive than my former California store.

I agree on the competitiveness haha, is it because Vancouver and Oregon clients are also shopping in this store? Or do the clients in WA have more money lol?

My sa told me they don’t form relationships with clients from Vancouver because they have their own store. I think our store is so competitive because of tech money and foreign clients who live here.

I agree that our store is one of the most competitive out there; since my H collecting days started about 15 years ago, I have moved around quite a bit due to my job (northeast, Midwest, southeast, now the PNW for the last few years). I try to stop by once every 4-6 weeks, and always by appointment, with a list of things I’m looking for 🤣 I’m not the biggest spender, but try to keep my purchases spread across different departments, and have definitely found some treasures here! I’ve also never had a problem with placing a charge send either if something I want is available on line or at another store. But this location is definitely a practice of extreme patience!

Agree. Our store is very competitive. On top of high tech money, it’s the only store in a huge geographic area. Closes are Chicago, SF and Denver. We’re competing with customers from several states.
One would think that a store that serves such a large geographic area would have higher inventory? It doesn’t seem to be the case from my observation/experience.

I think for new clients it makes more sense to go secondhand at the moment, because you need to invest lots of effort, time and money to build the relationship.

For sure. I've been a client here for almost 4 years, but if I hadn't been I might. I think it's a bit anticlimactic to get it secondhand... which is weird but true lol! And now it's more affordable secondhand than it was when I started.

I feel like at that point I'd just buy a bag secondhand, but that's probably why I haven't gotten a bag this whole time. I simply can't hang!
I agree with you on this. It’s crazy. You think once month is good enough but my SA still keeps telling me I need to see her more. I have kids and work. Mind blowing to me. This SA is totally different from my SA in California.
