From his response, I think I wont ask again until I feel like Ive spent close to 2:1. Its a mix feeling. SA is friendly but pushy to purchase things but then again I might just be taking it the wrong way. Its just different from my SA when I was in San Francisco.
Based on the discussion above, I agree with some of the other responses that maybe your SA may have been trying to just set your expectations realistically, however I think he could have gone about it with a little more empathy.

Anyhow, I know I said earlier I would switch SAs, however, after being roughly halfway towards your goal, I feel like I'd have a hard time essentially starting over unless the shopping experience was truly unbearable. If it's just your SA being blunt/overtly honest, then maybe you just have to get accustomed to his personality and not take it personally. I know it's ideal to have a "friendly" relationship with your SA (is that too much to ask!?! haha), however at the end of the day, this is really a business relationship, so keep that in mind.

Good luck!

And having to switch SAs in the same store, I might just have even harder time because they all work together. Well said at the end of the day, this is business. But, we’re all here spending money and the make commissions you would think they would be a little friendlier.

Anything good on display at the store lately?
When I was there Labor Day weekend, there was a Kelly 25 or 28 in trench. I remember because while I was checking out, a fellow customer was trying it on. I believe there was also a Birkin, Lindy 26 and full leather garden party…but my memory is a little foggy now. I just remember that the display bags were in predominantly in that beige neutral color palette. Not sure if they have changed the display yet.

@EdgyBagsPlz Totally agree! This is luxury shopping and should be a fun and enjoyable experience. This includes being honest with the SA if you don’t like an item. Yes, it’s still a friendly business relationship but they should know it’ll be better in the long run for them if they don’t push you towards a sale of an item you don’t like.

@jizzystar You’ve already built up a significant spend with this SA so I think it would be hard to switch SAs without starting over. If you continue to shop with this SA you should continue to only buy things that you like and at your own pace. Be decisive and firm, but of course kind, if you decide to not buy a certain item.

That being said, would you want to let this SA reap the commission from an additional $15k worth of prespend? I’m assuming a b25 or k25 might be closer to a 3:1 and you’ve mentioned you’ve spent 15K…you’re already at 1.3:1. Perhaps cut your losses and switch to a different SA that is more your style? That way the future shopping experiences will be enjoyable and your QB will be associated with happy memories. There’s no right or wrong choice. Ultimately it is your hard earned money and time. I hope this helps and hope your dream bag finds its way to you soon!
@jizzy1120 I don't really think you should switch SA. Since any 25s at the Bellevue store will be extremely hard, hard for the SA to propose unless you REALLY SPEND... I am talking 3 or god forbid 4:1 if you want to get it in one quota year. If you end up having to start over and spend the same amount... your 15k would "go to waste". Anyways, I would not take it too seriously what he said. SAs usually pushes in the beginning to gauge your interest and your budget, kindaa... It took around 1-2 year of trials for me and my SA (of 8 years) she would send me a lot of stuffs in the beginning, however, after a few rounds of "NOs" then now she know exactly what I will like/dislike. Vice versa, we have to learn "SAs language" but in your case he is a bit direct. Don't feel like your pressured to spend, buy only what you like and ask for what you want. We want quota bags, they want commission! I always live by "You missed 100% of the shots you don't take", I have always ask for what I want even if the answer is No. But you never know because sometimes they do give you what you want. Most recently I got an engagement gift from my SA and the manager without any pre-spend AT ALL. Gris Misty B30 no prespend :) SO BE CONFIDENT!

I have not been shopping at the store for awhile (but I keep in touch with my SA) that's why I don't really post on here anymore. But I always read yall post hahaha, guity pleasure. I wanted to add that YES IT'S A MIRACLE, ABSOLUTELY THE FIRST TIME EVER IN MY HERMES JOURNEY. And yes I did shop quite a bit when I came to pick up my bag. I am done for the year, I hope all you ladies get your dream bag this year!

I just received my first QB offer from my amazing SA. K25 Sellier in Chevre Chamkila in the color Bronze Dore, and I said yes! I had asked for a Kelly in any leather but Epsom and a neutral color 4-5 months ago. So glad she found me this combo as she knows I admire Chevre.

Google photos of this color don't do it justice. I was in two minds till I saw it in person. Especially with the Chamkila leather, the gold really sparkles ✨

Congratulations!!!! That is such a beautiful bag! If you see a fellow shopper creepily admiring your bag in the boutique…it might be me  Wear her in the best of health and can’t wait for the action pics if I don’t run into you at the boutique!!

want a b25 or k25 neautral color.

Those are also my wishlist items and like I said, I've been waiting almost 4 years,

prespend for size 25 is about 1:2~3

prespend? I’m assuming a b25 or k25 might be closer to a 3:1 and you’ve mentioned you’ve spent 15K…you’re already at 1.3:1. P

I am not in your area but in NYC where IMO it’s 4-5X for a B25 neutral. Unfortunately, if it’s your SA or store policy to discuss when you are closer to the target, it sounds like it’s really 3-4X. Reading the threads, I also think PNW is quite competitive. Nowadays I think that seems to be the norm in the US, though there have been exceptions. I think of 15K as 1.5X, and I don’t know of many instances where there has been success at 2X. While your SA may have been a bit abrupt, I agree with a post upthread that she might have been trying, perhaps not as tactfully as she should have been, to reset your expectations. So, there may be some way to go. Good luck.

ETA: I agree with @EdgyBagsPlz , that it could be quite a long wait if you would prefer to go at a slower pace. If however, your SA thinks you want something before the end of this calendar year or first half of next year, she might be pushing a bit so she can position you favorably. You should of course make it clear if you are willing to wait :D Also, from my own experience, sellier is longer; 25B was longer than 25K. But, everyone is different, ymmv.

From my experience, you are correct with the pre spend for our store.
