I'm sorry you have

I am sorry you are going through this. It seems like this SA is a mismatch for you. Unfortunately it's tough to switch SAs at this point since you have already spent a significant amount and have worked with him/her for 7 months now.

I not justifying the behavior, but I wonder if they just have a different personality than you are used to in a SA. We all would probably agree that SAs shouldn't be pushy but maybe their way of encouraging you, makes you feel pushed. For example "that looks so great on you, you should really buy it." to some may feel like a compliment, to some may be received as pushy.

This store has a fairly high spend for a bag at this point. I would guess you are not even half way there. So is it possible that the SA was just trying to be direct and say, we should discuss this when you are closer, because your wishlist may change over the next year or two, so we should only narrow it down when I can actually offer you something?
He is pretty nice for the most part. The way you just explained it makes so much sense! Thank you! I appreciate this community so much!

I had to skip a month because I was busy with travel
Skipping a month shouldn't be a big deal IMO. I don't visit the store every month and that doesn't impact the relationship with my SA.

when I asked about my wishlist she stops me and say we will talk about it when we get there.
This is a little weird. Did he/she provide any more details or explain what it means "when we get there"?

This is so rough, because of the amount you've already spent. That's one reason I started slow, because I wanted to know if this sort of thing was for me. I personally look forward to seeing my SA every single time; going in should be a treat. You should feel good about it, and feel like you can be honest if something isn't your taste, that's how the SA will learn your taste and also be able to offer their advice without you thinking they're just trying to push a sale. For example, sometimes my SA says "that's too big for you", or "if it's not comfortable, don't buy it, it's okay don't worry", and it makes me trust them more to have my interests as a customer at heart.

I think you might reach out to a different SA and see if you click with them, and maybe if you do, you can explain the situation you're in and ask their advice? I've never had this situation though so take any advice I have with a massive grain of salt.

EDIT: Those are also my wishlist items and like I said, I've been waiting almost 4 years, but I'm a lower spender. However, even though my wishlist items are competitive, my SA still notes them and agrees they're absolutely the right size for me being under 5 feet tall. I have heard the spend ratio at this store is incredibly high so maybe she's trying to get you there but it sure makes the experience unpleasant. You should enjoy each piece you buy.
@EdgyBagsPlz Totally agree! This is luxury shopping and should be a fun and enjoyable experience. This includes being honest with the SA if you don’t like an item. Yes, it’s still a friendly business relationship but they should know it’ll be better in the long run for them if they don’t push you towards a sale of an item you don’t like.

@jizzystar You’ve already built up a significant spend with this SA so I think it would be hard to switch SAs without starting over. If you continue to shop with this SA you should continue to only buy things that you like and at your own pace. Be decisive and firm, but of course kind, if you decide to not buy a certain item.

That being said, would you want to let this SA reap the commission from an additional $15k worth of prespend? I’m assuming a b25 or k25 might be closer to a 3:1 and you’ve mentioned you’ve spent 15K…you’re already at 1.3:1. Perhaps cut your losses and switch to a different SA that is more your style? That way the future shopping experiences will be enjoyable and your QB will be associated with happy memories. There’s no right or wrong choice. Ultimately it is your hard earned money and time. I hope this helps and hope your dream bag finds its way to you soon!

Thank you so much! Im thinking 50/50 but at the same time I want to enjoy the process and enjoy shopping. Like you said its luxury shopping.

Need your opinion ladies, I have been working with my SA for about 7 months now spend $15k I was asked to come more often and this SA is a bit pushy about making sales. What would you ladies do? Is this normal?
Do you ask about your wishlist frequently? Maybe your sa is trying to help you get there by letting you know you have to spend more? My sa is also a bit pushy about sales but that's their job so I just try to ignore it. Most of my bags at this store have been around 2:1 so I think you have a little more spending to go.

I recently moved in Pnw March this year. I worked with an amazing SA in SF and never felt this kind of way.

She was nice at first, bought a few things here and there, I had to skip a month because I was busy with travel. I came to see her bought 2 fine jewelry worth almost $8k and when I asked about my wishlist she stops me and say we will talk about it when we get there. Is this normal? Should I bother talking to the manager?
I’m sorry for this experience.

Mine is never pushy, however I noticed they wouldn’t engage in any discussions about BKC until the likelihood of getting an offer is near. For example, once they were open to discussion, I would get an offer within 4-6 weeks.

Also from my experience, the pre spend is high at this store, like over 2.5:1 for popular specs. In addition to the pre spend, I’m also under the impression that they don’t offer the first BKC to new customers (new to this store) easily. There seem to be a min period of wait?

Could your SA simply be advising/hinting you on how to get a bag sooner? Maybe they are simply saying that in order to get a bag “sooner”, you could try visiting the store more often, in other words spend faster?

Of course this is only my guess. I’m not trying to defend the SA in any way.

I mean.. i am at 3:1 now. Still no offer. My sa has been telling me that its coz I wanted a specific size, so I opened up my options, and still no offer. So not sure what I am doing wrong but very frustrated at this point.

Hang in there. It will come.
Could I ask how long you’ve been shopping there? My first took 1 year.

I dont ask about my wishlist. Just the first time I met him and this last time. That makes me feel a lot better.

Thank you! That maybe the case since Im new.

I love Hermes, and this is my store. I would imagine 2:1 to 3:1 at this store. I'm surprised the SA said this to you. Maybe broach it next time with, "Would it be ok if I texted you my wishlist?" and see the response. And let them know you're not expecting anything soon, but it couldn't hurt to give it to them...this way they don't feel *you're* being pushy. If they're not responsive and you're not clicking with them, maybe talk to the director -- he is just lovely!!!

From his response, I think I wont ask again until I feel like Ive spent close to 2:1. Its a mix feeling. SA is friendly but pushy to purchase things but then again I might just be taking it the wrong way. Its just different from my SA when I was in San Francisco.
