Question for the Senior Scarftresses, can you tell me (us) what patterns are the MOST faked? That way, I can be EXTRA careful when I come across them and for my own education. If there is a thread, I missed it. PM if more appropriate. THANK YOU!

I am not THE senior scarftress, lol, but I know a few that have been heavily faked: A Vos Crayons, Hola Flamenca, Vif Argent, Ex Libris. I believe that loads of designs have been faked.

Ok Seton, here is the answer I got from Hermes regarding the artists for the following:
Un Jardin sur le Nil was designed by Veronique De Mareuil. We have no designer name for "cachemire" , (cachemire is a motif).

I posted this in the "Authenticate" thread, but perhaps it is better here: Would anyone who has the "Nuba Mountain" 90 cm silk in the white/ivory bordered version please PM me? I have a very specific question about this colorway and would prefer not to give this level of detail in the open forum--though of course I'm happy to do so if no one thinks there would be any harm. I just received this scarf via eBay and am struck by one detail. . . . Thank you!

i am interested to know your thought on second hand scarves ( eBay finds etc) i have a couple of brand new scarves bought from hermes shops but several second hand olderones from ebay. i tend to always prefer to wear my new ones although i love the designs of the ebay finds, is it because i think someone else has worn them? i don't know myself - i have washed them all, they all look great so i ask myself why do i sometimes think of just putting them back on ebay and buying new. Does anyone feel the same or am i being silly? thanks in advance for your advice.

I am the opposite in some ways- I like to wear my eBay scarves because I don't worry about them as much, I spent less money on them, they have already been "broken in" by someone else so I can toss them on and go. On the other hand, buying from the boutique is so much fun! My ideal collection would have a little of both. I'd advise wearing them a little more, and thinking about them a little less. But at the end of the day, if you aren't happy with your eBay purchases, and you don't think you ever will be, get rid of them and buy something that does make you happy.
