I do recognise the scarf and wrote down a different name and date - 1937 SELLERIE - I too did not record the provenance of my info, probably a web site for which the link is long broken anyway
The early scarves were produced were produced over long periods, sometime over a decade, they were not pegged to a particular collection as they are now, so 1930s - 1940s seems good to me , I dont get hung up on EXACT dates for the early ones
I honestly dont know which name is correct - the only correct answer would have to come from H itself - I would go with their moniker no matter how many sites have otherwise
As to the fabric ... dunno .. I own several, they have a unique feel, they are all blends IMHO, could be silk, cotton, linen, wool in there , the funny cloth ones were NOT produced using the same blend/unusual fabric, also there were trade name blends Vyella (sp?) used by H, but dont know if this is one of them , you would need a CSI to do a DNA analysis to know for certain LOL

They have often reused names, mostly when the first design was not well known, as in this case
AND I do know of one other scarf commonly known as SELLERIE
Some scarves have several AKAs, depending on what you use as your source and the accuracy of their knowledge
Some scarf names have AKAs because they have gotten abbreviated/garbled on the web versus on the tags and receipts - tags have really short slots for the tags and clipping is common
I really like to be a student at the Marietouchet Hermès University! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

You are very welcome, but I recognize one one of the cognoscenti when I see one , you too know lots
I am sorry my answer is not brief or definitive but esp. with the oldies there is often no ONE answer
I used to agonize over this - THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE ! LOL !
But, ultimately, my personal approach became to write down all the answers. Usually, my personal opinion is predicated on some interminable documentation trail (no conciseness there) that is hard if not impossible to share.

I am impressed by all the knowledge here at the forum, and I am grateful to all contributors I have learnt from through the years as a member.
In the beginning of learning, you demand a one and only truth, and it is very frustrating before you learn there are different answers, and all of them can be true.
It seems as if the learning of Hermès is an ongoing everlasting story!

Agree, everlasting

Agree, everlasting
And H is IMHO is making it an even more enduring quest ... I think their recent collections are very complicated - diff fabrics, sizes, they dont seem to do straight reissues anymore, - everything is a remix - tattoo, mash up, fleuri, love, bayadere, polka dotted etc. It is getting harder. We have more questions not less.
A funny example thereof - i had collected a pic of GUEPARDS tattoo and was curious of the name of the color - which according to H site was Vert Caramel Blanc - what ? Green / Caramel/ White ? I must be getting old, I did not realize there is green in there, It looks beige to me !
And, I would never contradict anyone who had a photo from the site that stated it was green - H must be correct ?
Then, I remembered .. that was the first season of the COLOR FAMILIES - and the names of the families appeared erratically on the site, in this case the color family was VERT - the scarf is not green but you could wear it with green
OK, try explaining that to someone 10 years from now ... everyone will be toting around the photo seeking to buy the green guepards

I miss how it was before. Please can someone stop the train, I want to get off! I want silk screened scarves with deep in the colours. - Not easy to be an expert now, unless you specialize.

Hallo everybody :).
I just recently got into collecting Hermes. I seen a friend wearing a Hermes Scarf and I thought it was beautiful. So I stared getting interested in them, but to be honest new ones are to expensive for me. So I started looking for vintage ones and found a few. But I‘m a bit unsure about one thing.
I got a Cuiverieries which seems authentic by all means and it is from the 60ies.
Just one thing about it is that the colors in some places leave the borders.
One collector told me that all scarfs are perfect and another one that this is quite common with the old ones. What is your opinion please?

Thank you!
I currently got a chance to buy this one for 50EUR but it has a similar issue. Would you think it is authentic please? And would you believe the stains could be washed out? Thank you.

Strangely I now can‘t upload the fotos.
