There is no infallible way to date a scarf especially down to the collection (SS or AW). Many scarf lists, eg here at purseforum, have the year but not the season. You may get different answers at different web sites.
Options for chasing down the season when it was officially issued:
- do LOTS of searches here and on internet - you may be rewarded if the scarf was from 2000 or later (or so). It is not impossible to identify season prior to 2000 BUT ...
- If it was prior to about 2000, try asking Hermes on their web site - Contact us. They may help with later ones too but dont always reply
- Ask friends but be aware, some people remember the purchase date not the issuance date.
- Make sure you have a large notebook lol to hold all the various (conflicting) info you will find

Absolutely, and store it in the cloud, so it does not burn down with the house and the scarves LOL
And there needs to be lots of piles in the notebook - good , bad and indifferent info
I am firmly of the following persuasion - I dont attempt to reconcile all the information, it is often not possible to determine truth - There is a whole esoteric field of study - what is ground truth ? cf Wiki
For myself, I simply collect all the data, some of which I can annotate then discount , some of which might be reliable subject to several caveats

Hi torotoro, this is called Wa Ko Ni. It's a bit of a grail of mine as it happens, I'm hoping they re release it. Google images it, its beautiful and ties like a dream I think. I love that it's a quite confronting portrait at first but then there's such a strong beauty in the woman's face.

That's correct, but as it's has already been stated, we don't authenticate on this thread.

If authentication is the issue perhaps submit to a paid for service
