While I'm at it...I have been searching for a wonderful snowflake scarf for awhile. (Snowflakes have a very special significance). I know of the following; Fleurs de L'Hiver, FEUX DE L'HIVER, Carillions Fleurs de L'Hiver. Hoping there might be more...

I do own a Neige d'Antan...for its winter wonderland complete with snowflakes. Thanks so much again for the help!

Jokes d'Hiver has BIG snowflakes (and is a jacquard of skaters)!

More mosaic scarves

Mosaique with Byzantine charioteers on it , 1950s HTF, not very popular

Coquillages en Mosaique , 1950s as 70cm twill - HTF, more recently as twilly but even that is HTF, seashells as mosaics

Trophees de Venise I & II, mosaics in some corners of I, all over the detail scarf II, easy to find on ebay , this one shows marble mosaic floors as seen Italy

Ciels Byzantins - design is arguably mosaic - like looking, actually shows illuminated manuscripts

How could I FORGET ??? Pavement - generally a grail, more expensive, but you can find it on Ebay

I too hate logos but Mosaique au 24 is pretty good, the caleche disappears when folded

Hermes a Beverly Hills has a mosaic border , this one is a stretch re mosaics

I am sure I will think of 3 more by tomorrow ...

Thank you once again dear Marietouchet! This is a wonderful list for me to save and work on;). Yes, pavements is one of my all time HG mosaic scarves!!! I would love it in every CW if I could! It is just so difficult to find it for a decent price. But, I'm going to keep trying;)
I suggest Legende du Poisson Corail. It ties great but dont seem to be too popular.

Also, Rose de Compas has the look of marquetry. Very pretty.

Thank you, seton! I especially love the extra info on how LdP ties. It is such an important part of a scarf. And, yet difficult to check if you aren't purchasing in person. I totally forgot about Rose de Compas. It is such a lovely design IMO. Great additions to search for...again thank you!

ok, I took a look
The way they format things, they are saying Fall 1986, not 1987.

There is an issue that is around 1985. I am assuming they mean that one. It would have vintage copyright and tag.

Thank you so much! Sorry to bother you one last time, hope I understood it correctly:

1985(86) - vintage copyright, folded tag
1988 - modern copyright, long tag
1989 - modern copyright, long tag

Oh Dear GG, I just saw a Joies d'Hiver online and it doesn't look like snowflakes after all -- I'm so sorry. Mine is navy blue with silver-grey fronds that I always thought were snowflakes, but I was clearly mistaken. Please forgive me -- I'll go check next time!

No problem my dear!!! I appreciate the effort;)!!! It was very kind of you to try and help:tender:

BUT the fronds - top right hand corner - are supposed to be icicles hanging off a tree, kinda sorta close to snowflakes, at least in the H20 family

Since you are also interested in neutrals , these photos do not do this one justice , border is a dark inky green , leaves have blues greens and lilac , an amazing neutral , kinda sorta in the same palette as the dark green mythiques Phoenix

Dear wise ones,
I was wondering what do you think of this one...
It is Сavalcadour clair de lune - moon silk from FW 2012
I'm thinking of getting one, so I was wondering if it worth the investment??!

I must apologize to Seton for hijacking her thread, I shall post any more info on snowflakes in the grail scarf thread mea culpa

AND PS on icicles - they are at the corner so will show up almost any way you tie the design , as long as you select the southwest - north east bias fold

Well, I think that is a question that only you can answer. I saw this one IRL and thought it was very interesting - the finish on the silk makes the scarf look like leather rather than fabric. I thought it was pretty awesome looking, but I can't wear brown so I passed. I would buy it if I could wear the color - it is a very interesting piece - I have never seen another like it. (And I am by no means wise...)
