Does anyone have this jacket? Or seen it in store? I like the classic design but have not seen it person
I tried this on in etoupe and both my SA and DH disliked it on me. I am short; have a thicker, longer waist; and, tend towards being boxy. I didn’t take a pic. If you have a trimmer waist,* I think it could look good. If it helps, this style is longer waisted and runs larger than most Dior dresses and jackets. This season, I’ve been wearing size 34-36 Hermes, and I am a 36-38 Chanel, 40-42 Dior.

i bought this jacket and pants, both size 36. Probably will wear them as separates. Good for travel, as they’re synthetic and pretty sturdy. Styling is like H is channeling Dior 30 Montaigne, at half the price. Good for people like me who have a harder time buttoning a classic bar jacket around the mid section.

ETA:* and don’t mind belting a lot of fabric. I prefer a shaped, structured jacket and dislike excess fabric around my waist

Thanks @Bdbunny. . .just goes to show that it’s important to try things on in person lol

a side note: I didnt buy the pants or jacket in white (not my style) but if someone does, my SA recommended sewing up the front pants pockets bc they created a demarcation. . . You can see the pocket outline in the second pic. Had this jacket and pants set come in etoupe, I would have bought it along with the navy.

the pants sit on the natural waist and are comfy stretchy like ski pants

Hello! Does anyone have this leather skirt?! It’s slightly big on me (don’t have size smaller in stock currently) and I’m wondering if it might stretch. Do we like it and the longer length? :yucky:

(I’m very petite so it sits much longer on me than the model)

I’m leaning towards passing since I’m not sure it’s in my budget right now (trying to be good after some unexpected purchases elsewhere gah!) so it’s hard for me to justify, but if it’s still available in Jan/Feb I might consider it. Trying to mull it over more and would love opinions!

FWIW, I think it looks great on you! And, as to length, the older I get, the longer my skirts/dresses, so the slightly longer length may just make it work for you for that much longer ;)

Thank you! I’m more worried that it’s ever so slightly big (I’m usually one size down) and it’ll stretch and then be unwearable. From FW23 though so not sure others will come in or how long it’ll be available (do you think if I wait til Jan/Feb I’d have a chance)

The length is good, you look amazing, but it's too big on you IMO, not too long per se, but too loose and not sitting right (I am petite like you and always dealing with this issue). Unless you are up for a leather alteration (which can be difficult), I would pass.

Hermes leather needs to fit as it will give slightly with wear
Hermes usually does leather for fall & spring, so you can look again & did you ask your SA to do
a search for your size?
If you are not loving the fit, why not pass & just look for something else that will fit you or just
wait for the next collection.JMO

thank you for your honesty- I would have liked to try one size down but they don’t have it and it’s not online either. Sigh! I can wait and see if it eventually pops up. That’s why I was worried if it stretches then it wouldn’t fit anymore since this is borderline big

Thanks! Almost nothing fits me in RTW it’s been a struggle so I was surprised this actually looked better than most items that make me look like a child in my parents clothes haha

I can wait though thank you for your insights as well :)

The length is ok and indeed just borderline big. It’s because you have thinner hips/thighs. If you go size down it might not fit the “waist” area. This one on your pic, it just sits right on your waist and still able to tuck in a cotton? shirt. I would wear this with tops tucked in or a cropped top.
