I suggest you pass. Hermès leather pieces are wardrobe staples... they are pieces you can throw on with almost anything to elevate an outfit. If the fit is off, you won't enjoy the piece to its full potential. Hermès has several leather pieces every season... perhaps something better will come along. I second @880's advice on looking into Dior leather, especially the 30 Montaigne skort with the cd buckle, which seems to fit everyone really well. HTH
Thanks so much! I’m in no rush so yes want to make sure it’s right :)

The skort also looks very cute

I tried this on in etoupe and both my SA and DH disliked it on me. I am short; have a thicker, longer waist; and, tend towards being boxy. I didn’t take a pic. If you have a trimmer waist,* I think it could look good. If it helps, this style is longer waisted and runs larger than most Dior dresses and jackets. This season, I’ve been wearing size 34-36 Hermes, and I am a 36-38 Chanel, 40-42 Dior.

i bought this jacket and pants, both size 36. Probably will wear them as separates. Good for travel, as they’re synthetic and pretty sturdy. Styling is like H is channeling Dior 30 Montaigne, at half the price. Good for people like me who have a harder time buttoning a classic bar jacket around the mid section.

ETA:* and don’t mind belting a lot of fabric. I prefer a shaped, structured jacket and dislike excess fabric around my waist

Yes absolutely. I intend to wear the blue one like a navy blazer: with jeans, gray wool trousers; black, white, khaki/beige/olive pants; black, navy or khaki dresses or skirts; leather skirts or pants, etc. I mix black and navy a lot.

i doubt that I will wear it as much with matching pants, but I anticipate taking both pieces and using them as separates for travel. They’re synthetic and pretty sturdy. If one has an office job, I think the two together would make a nice set.

ETA: just realized that I forgot to post sample sale RTW here: biker jacket; equestrian jacket; dress, all deerskin
(cross posted from H in action thread). With an ex Libris fringe silk muffler; white Wolford button down body suit; athlete leggings; dolce &gabbana spectator sling backs that I bought from the boutique decades ago.

How does the deerskin dress fit? Did you get your normal size?I am thinking of getting one but not sure about the size. Thank you.

The one I bought from the sample sale was probably from 2019 or thereabouts and was a size 40. I can easily layer a shirt or sweater underneath. Current H RTW seems to be running much larger. My H RTW purchases from this season are 34-36. But I’m not an ‘true’ 34-36 by any means, and it seems from the posts of others that the equestrian line may run smaller than regular RTW.

Unfortunately, I haven‘t tried on a recent version of the leather equestrian dress, though I believe one is made every year or so. In terms of what is my ‘normal’ size, I’m a 38 chanel jacket, occasionally a 36 (knitwear etc); 38 Brunello; and, a 40-42 Dior. I’m tagging @haute okole bc I believe she has leather or suede RTW from more recent collections, and she might provide a more educated opinion. But, this might be something that should be tried on in person. HTH

Thank you. I just tried on deerskin dress 38 and I couldn’t even zip up. I have to go up to size 40.

thank you. I went to boutique yesterday and tried on the 38. I couldn’t even zip up :(. At least I got to try it. Very soft but rougher and thicker than lamb skin. I also tried on a few skirts but they were the same fit and too short. Didn’t have size 40 so I decided to wait to see if there will be knee length in the future.

Hi, I tried it on. It’s cute! But it runs big. It’s also lightweight, meant for spring. The collar is very cute, but honestly it’s not easy to buckle up the strap to close it so I think one would probably wear it open for the most part. I decided to pass on it because I already have a lightweight H cashmere jacket. I would suggest trying it on to make sure of sizing. :flowers:

Does anyone have this bomber jacket and willing to share pics of it on? I’m thinking about buying it from a reseller and curious if it fits TTS. Thanks!View attachment 5905676
I do! In the cream color way. I’d like to say it fits TTS but given that I have H RTW in many sizes I can’t be sure. I have two short H jackets (this one and this year’s wool duffle) both in 38 and a long lightweight wool trench in a 34. All seem to fit.

For reference, I’m 5’5”, 145lb and typically wear an 8 US.

ETA: it is definitely a fall/early spring weight and not quite warm enough for mid winter chilly weather unless you layer it. My SA recently told me that it was from the autumn line of last year. My duffle from this fall, by comparison, is very warm.
