Tried this on today. It’s absolutely beautiful. I love the texture of the striped part. Thick and almost stretchy.
It is a stunning piece, looks great on you.
I tried it in store, but end up not buying it as I worry the knit area of the coat will pill. Hermes rtw pieces tend to pill a lot, sadly. For the same price I got a full cashmere coat instead.

Yes the wool ones do. Because of the price point I don’t have any full cashmere yet! I spend on leather/shearling outerwear rather than cashmere. I’d love this to be my first piece though. I checked on the French website and I believe this is full cashmere!

I checked the composition when I tried the coat.
the knit front area of the coat is a mixture of cashmere and wool. Back of the coat and scarf/woodie are full cashmere.

And yes, from my experience Hermès cashmere does pill, specially knits

Question for all who have cashmere outerwear from H. Does it pill?
Yes. I’m careful with my RTW; do not wear crossbody or shoulder bags too much; and I rotate my coats so none get much wear. If you want cashmere outerwear that does not pill, I recommend Chanel, Akris, or Loro Piana, all of which wear like iron. Having said that, I would still buy H cashmere outerwear if I really loved the style. In fact, this season, I bought the etoupe cashmere serge biker jacket. It seems a bit more sturdy.

Lol, not that I recommend this because it is an illness, I am only speaking for myself about the pathology. Buy a bunch so you can rotate how often you wear your items to once every 2 years. There you go, pilling avoided. Yes, I see you @880 and @Bdbunny.

If only I could afford to get sick 😂😂😂😂. Ok, well, there are a few scarves and shawls around here somewhere 😎

Hahaha! I see you too @textilegirl. You must come to LA for our Waldorf Roof top Hermes reveals. So fun. Make sure your jewelry game is on point too! Just kidding, not really, this is LA.

Thank you for sharing! Which jacket is this? I’d love to see!

I have many Hermes outerwear pieces but no cashmere yet. My wool long jacket has definitely pilled but also been extremely well loved. I have that camel coat from a handful of years ago, when outerwear was still decently priced, and it is showing wear. But these two I’ve worn quite a bit.
