Lol, not that I recommend this because it is an illness, I am only speaking for myself about the pathology. Buy a bunch so you can rotate how often you wear your items to once every 2 years. There you go, pilling avoided. Yes, I see you @880 and @Bdbunny.
Yes thank you for the tip!! I tend to choose favorites and then wear those over and over. I take good care of my bags and maybe less so my outerwear. All of my car jacket type pieces (thicker sweaters) and cardigans are in such excellent condition. I wear those less and take really good care when I use them.

sharing! Which jacket is this? I’d love to see!

I have many Hermes outerwear pieces but no cashmere yet. My wool long jacket has definitely pilled but also been extremely well loved. I have that camel coat from a handful of years ago, when outerwear was still decently priced, and it is showing wear. But these two I’ve worn quite

This looks like the print on the Naoussa shirt sleeve sweater, is it in dress form? I would love that!

I spent last night while getting my hair done, catching up on about 10 pages of this thread. You all had me drooling with all of the outfits and lovely RTW pieces available! Thank you for the eye candy! Was in NYC 2 weeks ago and sadly not much available to me so clearly I need to be more proactive. @880 those moto-style jackets you keep showing are KILLER!

Question for all who have cashmere outerwear from H. Does it pill?
Yes, for the most part H cashmere does pill. Whether you rotate your jackets, coats & sweaters
they likely will pill whether it is several wears or multiple wears like having one special
coat for the season
I say if you love the piece enough, you get used to the pilling. Hermes shawls that are
100% cashmere pill as well be it black or a color, I have several that I now wear when the
weather is bad with the exception of rain, that just seems to make it worse, JMO

Hey @880 what size did you get for the Serge?
I tried this as well, in black, and loved the cut. But 36 when zipped up felt snug for my taste when you layer a thicker top underneath, though wearing it open most of time would have worked I guess. Store’s only other size was 38 which I’m still contemplating because tailor said she could alter it down to in between the 2 sizes.
I might just ask SA whether she can get in the etoupe.

36. I have a thicker waist relative to my size, and I’m the same as you re the thicker top. I didn’t want to go to a 38 bc the piece has a dropped shoulder. For reference, I’m a 36 in a variety of jackets this season (shearling to sports coats) I’m thinking about taking it to my third party tailor to raise the shoulder and let out the sleeve (I originally had it shortened). I generally prefer to let out than take in, though my experience letting out is mainly with Chanel, not Hermes. And, I am not confident or patient enough to wait for H in house tailoring. Feel free to pm if you need details
