thanks @Bdbunny, i love these pants. Both the pants and dress make me look like I’ve dropped 10 plus pounds. they’re magic. I also tried the dress on in black, but I honestly preferred the etoupe, bc in the lighter color you can see the detail. Plus, we all have a million black dresses, and how often does one wear them.I’ve experimented with rolling the pants up, and there’s no detail to prevent hemming. I actually can do a crisp few folds, and they seem o stay up and look cute. Also highly recommend the Valentino platform espadrille slides this season or something similar, if you don’t want to hem the pants. The V’s are comfy. But with them and a few other H shoes, I use different pads bc the H shoe in my length has more volume than I need. I really like the anti sliding pads on the right

ETA: @Bdbunny , the pants come in lots of colors. You might want to ask your SA.
Mine was like, get the black.

@Meta, I just asked my SA at Madison about a piece that was on line. He asked the head of RTW, and she said if Madison senses something unlikely to sell, they simply won’t consider ordering it. I do know that this coming season, they are very careful about choosing RTW items to offer. I did see a longer coat with all over lizard details at FSH in April of this year, and I believe it was in the neighborhood of 33K EU, if that factoid is helpful to anyone.

I only dry clean with my one dry cleaner ( who is not in the official top three in NY as I’ve had issues with nearly all of them). For unusual leather like exotics or fur, he is open about sending to his specialist and does not do this in house.

Love my new dress and cargo look pants (they apparently unzip to be shorts though I haven’t tried it). Dress a relative bargain at 2400USD; pants 2800USD. I bought size 36 in both, and am usually a chanel 38;dior 40-42

ETA : Last pic: my h mesh backed vest with courreges pants and Birkenstocks
(I love these synthetic, Forrest green, twill painter pants so much I have both the wide leg and slim leg versions. And they are about 450 EU or 760USD when bought in the US. Just putting out that price point to compare to the H lol

Thank you @Chrismin ! Shoes are this season Valentino. 37 fit, but I want a little extra room in a sandal,
so I went to a 38. For point of reference, I wear a 37.5 hermes boot, and usually a 38 Hermes sandal.
These days, I find going up in size for length means an extra amount of volume in the shoe, so I put in pads. And
sometimes, like with these Valentinos, and with H oasis, cut out padding for beneath the strappy upper. This time, I cut up heel protectors. The sole pads were the ones on the right in the second pic. They are lighter than the sole, but look fine when the shoe is on. Mini straw shell bag from Heimat Atlantica.

Do you sole your shoes? The sole on my loafers feel kind of thin. But maybe its just bc im used to a lot of cushion. Should I wear those pads, resole the shoes or just get used to them?
Thanks so much! I haven’t unzipped the pants for fear I won’t be able to put them back together. I have a dior two piece compound skirt, that my SA and I separated into two skirts, that I haven’t been able to put back together. Lol.

Love, Love, Love that dress on you!!!! Did you get both the Black and Etoupe versions?

thank you. I tried both on, but I prefer the etoupe bc I can see the detail. So just bought that one. (I also bought a A line black dior dress this past season that I barely wear). I basically decided I’d get most cost per wear out of the etoupe dress and black pants. The A line works better on my figure than the stiff dress, which is more straight up and down. I need the illusion of shape

Don’t we all  That stiff dress did not look good on me at all. I liked your Dior dress from the Dior thread as well. Looks good on you.

Awwh, thanks @addiCCted. I loved the stiff dress, and it looks so great on @Bdbunny and others, but my SA was like, NO, you need an A line skirt bc you NEED a waist. Lol.

Very random question, but my SA told me a cashmere coat that I had tried on that was not in my size just came in (along with the etoupe dress in my size!!). I love the coat but really don’t want to invest in a 9k coat right now and want to wait until it gets cooler. I understand that this particular coat might be gone by then but are coats and winter items available closer to actual fall time that I could purchase something later that I could actually use right away rather than store away in my rather limited closet space? Sorry if this is a very dumb question, but I’m very new to Hermes RTW and just luxury RTW in general and a bit confused about the timing.

The cashmere coat will be smth you can use many many seasons later. And what’s a few months. But it is expensive so you must love it. But I don’t think you should let the current weather affect your choice. When you are ready to buy the size and color may not be available. If you love the color, style and fit, if you think you will use the item. Then just purchase it. Fall is right around the corner.

Fashun has generally always been totally out of sync, what is in the stores are never quite suitable for the season outside. Therefore one experiences buying the thickest coats and jackets for A/W in July during a heatwave, and bikinis in December. I would have to say buy it if you are sure, because by Autumn when temperatures start cooling down, the best things will no longer be available.

Agreeing 100% on what @addiCCted & @periogirl28 said.

Maybe in the old days people waited until the weather turned before even thinking about seasonal pieces, but if you want a particular model/size/colour, jump.

I wanted a pretty heavy dinner suit (Women's) recently. Only one store bought it in London, and they (NBS) only bought one-off jacket/trousers 'sets' in 3 sizes. That meant one chance for my size, and that chance was gone within the week it took me to 'sleep on it' still in a heatwave - I still kick myself.
