i think you have to decide how much you love it (given you normally wear jackets open)
my DH would say pass bc he is a stickler for fit. DH loves to shop, so when I am with him, I kind of style the item as I put it on and tell him immediately — hey I adore this — to kind of preempt. Assuming I have to have it. Otherwise. I just ask for his opiinion lol. It might help to go back and try on again and take pics from different angles.

but, (and I hate to admit this) sometimes I try something on, fall in love, and the tailor corrects the fit, and I no longer like it as much.

and, sometimes, I buy something that doesn’t quite fit (like a jacket that doesn’t quite close) and I feel fat when I put it on, so it sits unworn

its really a personal decision and the intransigence of H regarding what they will and will not do re alterations does not help.

+1 with @TankerToad ; I think the jacket is lovely on you. But, a forever piece? IDK, only you can decide.

Dear husband says that he loves it and that the color was gorgeous. Not sure yet if he will be able to come with me next time .
I will try it on with different types of top next time.

Thanks to everybody for your excellent advices.
I will think about it and go back to the store to try it again.
I try now to purchase items that make me feel happy right away. Even if I need sometimes to think about it.
I have realise that if I have to convince myself, or if I try to be very objective and rational... I might not use it as often as planned.
For this jacket It was love right away. But because of the price, I think am trying to have as much PROS as possible to ´justify’ it.

Getting excellent use out of my Hermes coats and down jacket - that’s for sure

Personally "fit" is one of the most important factors when buying an item.
Many of us like to "feel happy' when making a purchase & sometimes convincing yourself that
this jacket is right for you when you are unable to button it is a consideration as I think the
option should be there to button from my perspective
I can't tell you how many items over the years have caught my eye at Hermes
& the fit wasn't just right & I passed on only later to realize that there were no regrets
& that before I knew it another item caught my eye that was just right with fit, color & style
The color is beautiful but I'm thinking out loud & knowing that the collections are just
starting to come into Hermes, maybe just take a pause & another leather jacket or perhaps
another leather style will work better for you so you don't have to convince yourself to buy
an expensive jacket that you might not be reaching for as much as you would anticipate if
"the fit" was perfect.JMO

I agree, happy is not enough. The perfect fit is a must.
I am now just pondering if the closing is a must for me or not.
But I know that as I ask this question here , it means I have some doubts that I do need to clarify.
Hopefully I can take a decision very soon.

Just received this super soft, sooooo comfy cardigan in the light baby pink cw. I got a 36 as 34 was sold out and although it is a bit roomy... I absolutely love it. No pulling and hangs perfectly even though it is spacious. The buttons slay me too. This is perfect for my more relaxed lifestyle and the pink is perfect. I paired it with a white tank so you can see the diff btwn the pink and a white color... it is a tad more pink IRL. I love logo that is not in your face LOGO. It's subtle enough to be IYKYK. thx for letting me share :heart:

This looks great on u! Do u usually wear a 34? I’m not sure what size to request because my sizing is all over in H!
