Hi everyone, what do you use to remove the pilling on your cashmere sweaters? I tried the electric lint shaver but it made a small hole on my brand new sweater or maybe I just pressed too hard? And no matter how much I shave, it still keeps on shedding. Any advice? TIA.

Oh no! I use this which you can just buy on Amazon. It does take a really long time compared to the electric shaver (which I also have) but now I'm scared since you said yours made a hole! When it's more expensive (like H) and the pilling is more surface area (rather than just a small spot) I just take it to the dry cleaners and they typically removing the pilling in the process too..

thank you for this! is this safe for cashmere even when accidentally pressed hard?
yes, i advise on NEVER using the electric shaver especially on H cashmeres! do you know if H will repair on rtw just like a hole on a cashmere sweater?

I think so! The roller is very small so I don't see how it would snag unless there was already a snag there perhaps? There are videos on youtube of people using similar cashmere combs if that helps!

I'm not sure if they would repair RTW tbh! I've only had H repair leather goods.

Admittedly, I'm not much of an accurate measure but it was around ~16 inches and mine is a 40. I'm not sure if that gets you what you need, I would highly encourage to just ask your SA if they have a similar piece you can try so that you can gauge if the fit might work, or just see if they can bring it in for you to try on. I don't believe your SA can fault you if it just clearly does not fit, is too large, etc. These cardigans and the fit can really be all over the place. In FW2021 alone I took cardigans in size 38, 40 & 42 because of the varying fit. Hope that helps...

I don't have a modeling shot but what you see on the website of these cardigans is very reflective! I think the largest thing to consider is your height. They can come across as a bit long on shorter women depending on the style and fit.
Dear Corgimom11, Thanks again - DH picked up ... Fits perfectly. Happy holidays!

I hope this is appropriate for the thread, but I’d love to get thoughts on RTW sizing and fit for “curvier” girls :girlsigh:

More specifically, I am usually anywhere between a US12-14-16 or L/XL. I see on the site that this would correlate to sz44/46, but I barely see items in that size on the site. I found this cute dress on the site, not in my size, and don’t even know if it’s worth asking my SA to help me source since I’m not sure whether or not it would actually fit. Thanks for any thoughts!!

I am a US 14/16 and L/XL shirt depending on the day and buy a lot of RTW at H. I find most of these cotton T's/dresses that indicate "straight" or a skinnier fit do not fit well and are not flattering. I purchased a cotton dress (pic on the previous page) and that one was a 42. It was technically a "maxi" dress. I've noticed the cotton pieces that are indicated as "maxi" fit a lot better. I have never been able to get any of the micro/straight items to look flattering on me. I try to post most of what I have purchased on this thread, and I did pick up a little black dress that was wool a couple of months ago that was a size 42 also. When it comes to the twillaine blouses I like them to not fit as loose since I will sometimes dress them up for business attire or dress them down for more casual wear and 40 is perfect. I've also purchased a lot of cardigans, both twillaine & other materials, those sizes will skew anywhere from 38 to 42 depending on the fit. At first I thought there was no way I would fit into H RTW but I've found that it skews looser/larger fit than other houses. I have been pleasantly surprised, but it has taken some time of me just trying on pieces so that my SA can get a better idea of what I like, what works & what doesn't and just to get general idea of how I would size in certain pieces.

thank you for your response! It’s super helpful - this gives me hope haha!

I need some help cause I am interested in a leather jacket from current season.
I found the color beautiful . It is called blue aquatic ( blue with green hues) and the leather feels delicious.
It is obviously quite pricey 5200 euros ! So I am a bit hesitant. Do you think it is worth it ?
Is it a lifetime piece for those who own one ?
Also the sizing is a bit weird.
I cannot close it because of my Boops.. Oups.
but If I take the next size, the shoulders will be too large. I am ok cause I normally wear my jacket open but at this price , I am like it should be versatile at max.
Here is a pic. What do you think ? Thanks for your help.

I think the jacket is amazing and the color is TDF
however for that price it should close itself — jk- I think that it should fit perfectly and for me if I can’t close it I don’t think I’d purchase it. I often have the same problem where if it fits at shoulders it tight at bust but I don’t think I could pull the trigger if it didn’t fit me perfectly

It’s beautiful but if it doesn’t fit properly, it seems silly to purchase it. Can they do alterations on it to fix the fit issues?
