thank you for sharing! love your B40 chevre raisin, its such a beautiful raisin!!!!

I agree with the other poster, the earlier Raisin was a more purple hue with less of a brown undertone. I've been obsessesed with it as a color for a long while now. The 2016 would count as the re-released later color so tends to have the more brown tone to it. If it's helpful, here's a picture of my gorgeous new to me 1999 B40 in Raisin Chevre taken in daylight that shows the beautiful deep purple color. There's also an Ode to Raisin chain here in the forum that has some fantastic examples of the way the color plays with different leathers and from different seasons.

Ladies, if you were in my shoes which raisin would you choose between these two? stamp D vs stamp X, whats your thought about the togo vein and the richness of raisin?

p.s condition of both H bag are very very similar, just different year 2016 (X) vs 2019 (D)

Purple is my favorite color. Would you mind posting this and another picture in my new thread Obsessed with 40's I just got a Kelly 40 and am trying to decide if my next Birkin will be a 35 or 40. Love your bag!!!!

Love them both but I think I would go for the D stamp. The color looks richer

I’d also choose the D stamp as it has the richer purple tone that I love. The X stamp has a cooler tone that just doesn’t sing to me as much. Both are beautiful though

While others have given you advice based on the colors in these photos, I think the issue with using photos is that the difference may just be different lighting conditions and white balances of the photos and not directly translatable to how different the bags are in real life. I can see the hardware also has very noticeable color differences, and assuming both are Gold hardware this may suggest that the photos themselves are not very equal…are these by different sellers? Had it been the same seller I’d ask for direct side by side photo for a better idea…

Honestly, they both look beautiful. From the photos, the D stamp looks richer and the Gold hardware shinier, but as @momoc has mentioned above, the different lighting could have caused these differences.

I don't know if this is helpful or not with your decision, but here's my D-stamp togo K25 taken indoors.

Hmm.. as others have commented, photos can be well, not accurate. Based on photos alone, I prefer the D stamp, the color looks richer here. It’s supposed to be newer too. I don’t mind the veins in the X stamp but the color looks more dull, I’m not sure if it’s due to lightning or due to age.
