Oh. Yes, then the CC fraud claim has no real baring?

I even asked if I could buy myself a gift card they could just keep at the store and use as I purchased. Again, they told me it must be in person.
I think they really are doing this solely to try to keep better tabs on where their merchandise is going and to try to derail the resellers. I don't think they understand that all of these stupid policies are going to drive customers away and right into the arms of the resellers. Then again that's maybe that's how they weed out us "riffraff"!

Too weird! You are NOT riffraff!!

I hope this won´t affect me, but who knows.

I was told by my SA that Hermes.com would soon stop selling any leather! So what's left?? One twilly, a couple gold rings and the same enamels every week?!!? Oh, yes, and of course, fragrances?!!? :shrugs::shrugs:

I'm going to have to find a new brand to become obsessed with! My nearest boutique is over two hours away and I work full time, so passing one on the way to work or "dropping by" is never going to be an option for me. This stress isn't worth it! I guess I should just be happy with what I have, and move on. VC&A maybe?!!? :graucho:

Whoaaa. no more leather on Hermes.com?? It seems like they are going the route of the Chanel website where you can only see a couple of things from leather, jewels, and rtw but you can buy makeup, skincare, and frangrances. I wonder how this will turn out over the next few months as H "thinks" they are weeding out resellers. Will people who frequent the boutiques start to get their hands on more goods? Or will the boutiques still be bare? It seems like in a short period of time H is really starting to change up the game.

The US H.com had a huge leather bag update last night. Most of them had disappeared by morning though.

Purse - We don't want to miss your reveals. I thought that policy wouldn't apply to established clients who have been in the store in person and have their credit card info form fill out. That is what my SA told me. You don't have to go into the store in person everytime you make a purchase.

It sounds like there is either some leeway among boutiques in enforcing the policies or some misunderstandings among SAs. I was told that for ANY leather goods I absolutely must be present in person and present my credit card to be swiped. No exceptions. I am a long-time customer who has made many phone orders in the past, so for this "established client," at least, there is no exception being made.
