Hermes Phone Orders

When I want something from a store that doesn't allow phone orders or isn't online with a boutique, I use a personal shopper.
I hope this cuts down on resellers. I'm looking for my first Birkin and I know not even to try Hermes. Which is really sad. I would much rather buy it from a Hermes boutique, but I know that I don't have a chance at getting one that way.

would your personal shopper be able to help you get one? sorry, i'm still not completely familiar with how the H system works.

Trying to look on the bright side (if there is one), this MAY help with resellers. If H sticks to the no phone sales rule, resellers will have to send in "ringers" to purchase bags/SLGs/etc. and it will be harder to find lots of different people to make in-person purchases than to make phone calls, I would think. So perhaps this will put a crimp in the reseller supply chain. Perhaps.

i agree with your point. it might take some time to purge the resellers supply system. so i guess the true H loyalists/supporters would have to be patient to wait for this storm to subside perhaps....

Probably not, but I'm not a VIP so I don't expect a Birkin from Hermes. I'll have to do a reseller, especially since I want a 25cm. But a personal shopper would probably work for things that are in store like scarves. Lucky for me there is a Hermes 90minutes from my house.

You have to be a VIP to buy a birkin now?

I don't buy enough to have a SA offer me one. And I want a rare in the US 25cm.

Not sure if this is related to the no phone orders, but the US H.com has had a huge update. Picotins, Evelynes, and Garden Parties.

It sounds like you need a relaxing trip to...Japan!:pI'm sure you would find a 25 B there! Plus the food is amazing! Just a thought!:amuse:

I second this. Japan is the land of 25 and 30 Bs and Ks. The boutiques usually have good inventory (probably because the price is the highest there :p); but service is always impeccable and there are many reputable resellers with many choices. When I was there a few years ago, the BRAND OFF Ginza store had practically every color of the rainbow. It will be pricier, but I suspect tolerable for most H addicts :p

i was told by my SA today. Hermes is not allowing leather goods to be placed over the phone, regardless amount!

Confirmed the same thing at Madison Avenue. I'm a long standing client who pops in every week. My SA called to let me know he located a leather charm I was hunting for; however, due to the new policies I had to physically go in and swipe my CC (for leather goods regardless of $ amount). In the past they would take my CC over the phone because I was an existing client.

I feel bad for those who don't live/work near H.

I was told by my SA that Hermes.com would soon stop selling any leather! So what's left?? One twilly, a couple gold rings and the same enamels every week?!!? Oh, yes, and of course, fragrances?!!? :shrugs::shrugs:

I'm going to have to find a new brand to become obsessed with! My nearest boutique is over two hours away and I work full time, so passing one on the way to work or "dropping by" is never going to be an option for me. This stress isn't worth it! I guess I should just be happy with what I have, and move on. VC&A maybe?!!? :graucho:

Seriously?!!! Sooo unfair to the Hermes lovers who don't live near a boutique!!

:wtf::wtf::wtf:

i'm in the same boat as you purse. this royally sucks, and i HATE that i've just started getting into the brand and haven't collected as much as i would like to! i guess resellers are really the only way to go now. ironic isn't it?
