a person who spent over 40,000 dollars in Palo Alto store wanted to discuss with the store manager. However store manager refuses to meet her. She only can ask the headquarters. Anyhow, she did meet the store manager, but the manager’s attitude is so bad and he didn’t want to solve the problem. And said “there’s no link sales”. She only can turned to the headquarters. Than she got this very insulting mail.

Would be curious to know what this person wrote in their original email to corporate as the response suggests there were more than a few subjects of complaint…

“We also do not require ANY purchases in advance of purchasing a handbag”

“we try our very best to offer them when available based upon requests”

I’m sorry but I disagree with that statements. My SA literally said at the end of the day, it’s only fair to give the quota bags to STRONG profile members ~ based on spending history :oh:

The key word seems to be “require” ie there is no hard written rule.

which is fine
I just don’t think Hermes is all about $$$$$$. However, the PA store is kind of looks like it’s all about $$$$.

I love Hermes as a brand, I love their products, and I appreciate the craftmanship. However some people just don’t have that much spending power :P

I have a feeling this person in on hermès "blacklist" among all US boutiques, I saw another post of similar name on Chinese redbook complained being "persecuted" in Hawaii store which being identified as reseller by the store manger  too many hermès drama these days !

$40 K and no offer? Ouch! A few pages back, I feel like someone wrote about their friend having spent close to that much but was heading out of the country for a couple of months and still has had no offers, maybe it was them? heh, IDK just a guessing!

I mean that's a sure fire way to get blacklisted too btw. One thing I will say is - if getting Blacklisted is a real thing, I wish they would tell you cause that is pretty mean to string someone along to keep spending $$$ and dangling the hopes of a B/K/C. But I know being a business, they wouldn't tell you obviously for legal reasons and they keep the cash coming in.

Granted I have had experience working in retail too and customers can be SUPER pushy and talk down to you so I do wonder if this complaint comes from a customer who was not very friendly and that the SA saw their intentions? Plus, I've met the store director a few times in passing and he's always been super nice to me.

Not defending the store by any means (* I also DON'T work for or am not affiliated with Hermes*) - I just try to see things from an SA's point of view cause when I do hear stories or watch YouTube videos of how demanding people can be (FOR A BAG), I would def. not put you in the forefront of a quota bag if they do in fact need to vouch for you to the Store Director. I rather vouch for the the nicer people, I'd even suspect some SAs wanna surprise clients who wouldn't be expecting it vs. those who have the mentality of "I've spent $40K now where's my bag, I EXPECT it".

But as some of you have said above too, I speculate a "strong profile" does matter too due to the amount of wealth here in the Bay Area. I just hope the PA store does consider a variety of factors when deciding who get's a bag cause I agree, not all of us are rolling in cash (I certainly am not wealthy by any means, I work super hard for my money).
