wow thanks for taking so much effort to defend PA store. (btw I heard Hermes have specific team to supervise social media and they have team register as users to defend them whenever there are negative review , not saying you are the one, just share this general fact ). First, you got your c Stamp in 2020, not 2021- as I said I also got my wallet D stamp in 2021, and I don't have any issue with that. second, Pie simply IGNORED me for quite some months for LINDY26. Plus the other small issues for example over charging me stuff but when i found out, simply said " I will correct that" " You HAVE to bring it back to store to scan"- no apology, as if I was the troublemaker. You advise to return it back to her after I found out missing felt etc ; First of all, as I said , that visit in Feb that she sold me this 2018 bag was my VERY FIRST visit to palo alto store, and I found out something was wrong only in early March, also everyone here understand how important to "not offend" your SA of Herms, because there is no transparent when and how they would offer me a dream bag. I did gently reminded her in late March that that was a 2018 bag and she acted pretty roughly raised her voice that she didnt know how old that bag on the shelf, at that time I thought okay our relationship is young so I give some more months and then she ended up ignored my Lindy26. For your opinion that I shouldn't "feel urgent" need for a Lindy26 and shouldn't be" triggered " after frustrating relationship with bad SA, well, thank you for your advice and I wish you always have nice SA. - BTW, after I give up PA, I already found dream SA now I have BKC and other nice items. IN terms of J's reply about BKC in his email offering to send me a felt cloth instead of meeting in store to talk things through_ first, I did not even mention BKC in my first complaint email to him, maybe PA received too many complaint about manipulated to spend 40K+ non leather items without being offered a bag and he did not read my email carefully so he auto copy pasted that boiler paragraph, and he sent me the exact para in his following email. If you think that is transparent about the BKC policy in PA store that's your opinion.

So two things here: first I apologize that I mistyped, but I purchased my 2018-stamped Toolbox this March 2021, not 2020. And I'm absolutely not affiliated with Hermes.

also re comments of Lindy 26, during my request period from March to late June 2021, I at least saw 5 people shared they got offered lindy26 etope gold from Palo Alto, some of them are first timer with no spending history.
That's what they do. Probably a way to attract new customers I guess. At any month there are likely 50 more customers wanting the same lindy 26 etoupe GHW, so it's not just about ignoring you. Take it as part of the game. Random things happen and there is no guarantee.
Am I trying to defend the store? I had things on the wishlist that had been promised to me and never materialized. A hard lesson is that once you have your mind set a particular combo, it is going to be a challenging game. There are other players and stock is never enough. Same thing as bidding up houses.

Sorry in my opinion Hermes is for everyone who can afford it. Urgent or not urgent, it should not define if Hermes is for you or not ❤

I realize what I said could come across this way...I mean it more like, "if it's causing you distress, maybe it's not worth it." And to be fair, "everyone who can afford it" can come across a bit elitist if we're splitting hairs. Perhaps better stated, "Hermes is for anyone who wishes to shop there." :flowers:

I think toolbox has been discontinued (or rarely produced in the past year or so?). For people who are searching for this bag the year stamp (and resale value) means little.

Fortunately it's not been discontinued, two Toolbox 26 models were on the website in the past two weeks and I just was able to put in an "order" for a new Toolbox 20 this month.

And yes, resale value had nothing to do with my decision. I actually discovered it was made in 2018 a few weeks after I purchased and asked our SA about it...he got a bit prickly:giggle: Sometimes I tease that I saved them by "finally getting that old bag out of their store," but really I love my TB even if it had to wait three years to get purchased.
 
Sorry I am new here, don't know the protocol to report a negative experience, thought this is a forum you can share all real experience althoguth I know Hermes send employees to register as "normal users" to defend that. I don't have any issue with the Brand, actually, i have amazing experience in other stores. I just heard so many complaints about this particular store recently. Anyway if anyone wants to know more details that is not allowed to post welcome to PM me!
 
First of all, if you'd like to help them to get rid of 4 years old hard- to -sell inventory that's your choice. As I said before, first of all, She took advantage of my naivety on my VERY First visit ( that's my very First hermes bag, before I have only purchased fashion jewelries scarf etc in other countries), and that very old bag has many signs of pre-ownership, not pristine. I felt so humiliated and fooled after I found out myself later- not a feeling you would like to spend $9000 to buy. You bought your 2018 bag voluntarily without misleading pitching, secondly, i said even this is just a standalone incident, I would give a chance to keep working on our relationship and tolerate that, but later on the way she treated me made me feel so unworthy-- not everyone can be as lucky as some member here, be offered 4 quota bags a year. I think I cannot post the message screenshots of this SA here, so if anyone wants to know more details, feel free to DM me.

Thanks for sharing rajtheracer. I am not on the market for a K yet, but I love the other Hermes products. Recently I sent 2 texts asking about Oasis shoes - as my size is hard to come by. I've already spent money on CDC's, beautiful scarfs and perfume between 2 stores as PA was opened after SF.

Furthmore, I had to call around myself for a ring. I finally gave up. I am reaching back out to SF and will probably do my business there or on-line. I can always get a K second hand without spending 20K or more.

Hey @hlavie, I'll DM you with my personal experience and opinion but I honestly would avoid this store. I've had friends and acquaintances having an easier time get a first quota bag in SF. Before anyone wants to jump in and say "not to compare your journey", your journey shouldn't be a stressful one either. I honestly can't even get a text back when I'm looking for 1-2 items that I wanted to order...and I've been a client of this location too for a bit now...
