I once bought a few year old Chanel bag at the PA Neiman Marcus that was in the sample case...so I know people had been touching it and trying it on (and it came with no felt although they usually do). However I also knew it was a tweed bag from two Cruise Collections prior that I had been dreaming since I had seen a photo of it the year prior. In that case my CC was on the table within 10 seconds of the bag coming out into eye sight.
Just saying this because Roulis may be not so much that it was "used" or "returned" but it could definitely have been on display and tried on similar to @duggi84 's toolbox hence not being "pristine". It might be a learning forward to tell H you'll only buy bags fresh off out of the shrink wrap if you are worried people having opened it/tried it on in the past - this might limit your options but at least you'll have peace of mind.
Finally H bags are durable and they stand by their leather products - If there are any significant problems you've noticed with the Roulis, you could have them spa it too. And ultimately if you like the bag, just use it; it'll get some minor dings with use almost immediately anyway.
