Reporting back with my experience!
So I took all of your advice and went for the Meatpacking store... since I'm younger and it seems like Madison is a lot of competition (I actually dined right across at Nello before heading to Meatpacking and didn't even go in the Madison store... as I can only build relationship with one SA anyway) I also had a Meatpacking SA call me in the morning and scheduled an appointment... so I figured it would be a better shopping experience as opposed to just walking in Madison (as even PRECOVID they were always super busy and the wait for assistance was long). So I took the Meatpacking appointment as fate would have it. And it was their last appointment too. 3:30pm and they close at 5:00. They definitely account for a good amount of shopping time for their customers to have the best experience.

Stopped in for an appointment and my SA was absolutely delightful. I decided to go with her as she sounded sweet and perky with the VM she left me. She also texted me and asked me what I was interested to look at and she will set aside some pieces for me. I had a whole array of list - bangles, fine jewelry, twilly, sandals, belts, kelly danse if one was in stock.

She helped me without ever pushing anything on me. I was so torn on what color combo clic bangle to get. (hardware color, clic-clac H, or new clic Anneau) She agreed with me that the color combo I wanted was best for me but they didn't have it in stock and didn't push me to buy another color otherwise.

Proceeded to try on a ton of different things - I asked and compared prices between belt sizes and buckles and different sandals/shoes and she was super sweet. I was with my SO, and she also helped him try on different shoes and made really good recommendations. I probably looked at stuff in atleast 5-6 categories... (from fine jewelry to rodeo charms on and on)

I shopped from 3:30-5:30 and picked up matching sandals for my SO and I... At the end, I also ended up getting a clic anneau in craie as I wanted it to match my new blanc ourans. :) She assured me she would get the exact shade of pink I like in the H clic-clac and notify me when it's available.

I mentioned wanting a kelly danse in GHW and gold if possible but am interested in any other neutrals. She also offered to let me know if any kelly pouchettes were available. And she said mini kelly 2 is super tough, but if luck comes my way she will definitely let me know :D Overall, I had a fantastic first Hermes US purchase. And I'll definitely be going back this year throughout to get belts and other small goodies during holidays to build a repetoire with them. And just to help her as an SA, cause she was just such a sweetheart.

PS: Kelly Danse is not a quota bag for Meatpacking either. :) She originally said she would show me a pink ostrich but when she went to check on it... someone already sold it earlier :\ So there's that. Praying for a miracle. Well... I've got a year to go!

CHEERS! AND HAPPY SHOPPING!

I know several lucky friends have been able to walk in with an appointment with no relationships to the Sales associates and they were able to score birkins recently (since they have opened) . They also pick up a few small goodies.
I also heard today from my friend that her friend and another friend of friends scored B30 and K28 Sellier etoupe with zero purchase or low spending as well. I wonder if they have to have a good purchase history at other stores first and that this is Madison's way of trying to get more businesses from other stores?

I wonder if your regular SA is at Madison, would they sell you a quota bag (and great color combo too) so easily (zero purchase or few small purchases)? My guess is not because they want to continue getting the business from you as you are a regular client at the store already. No need to incentivize you to move your buying/purchases from other stores to Madison if that's the intention of selling you a quota bag. But if that is the case, isn't it hurting the loyal customers there? If that isn't the case, what is the reason to sell a B/K so easily?

If anyone has heard from any regular clients at Madison on their quota bag offer experience, that will be great. Thanks!

I’m happy you had such a great experience. Good luck on the Kelly Danse. I hope you bring her home soon.

Yes, it is possible to have your first ever purchase from Hermes be a quota bag. While purchase history matter, stock does too. Luck is a factor as well, they have to have the bag available.

I’m a regular and I got my first quota bag easily.. b30. I have a wonderful relationship with my SA and I find my spend has been significantly low compared to others and I’ve been able to get the bags I request
