Got it, thank you! - I have been buying in the silks and leather jewelry department to start, and have asked my SA to keep an eye out for a number of non b, k or c items across departments on my wishlist. Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to get offered yet, but i'll keep at it! I only wish that $1,800 of pre-spend was the norm!
I think the answer to your quation is ! no! it is not like B or K, Becuase SA does not get comision on B and K . So abviously they will only offer you if you also purchase other itmes! as for C they will get the commision . having that said they need to make sure you are serious buyer and can afford it before they show it to you. I was offered one as walk in madison without even asking while I as looking at lindy bag and not liking any !

Wow! I didn't know this. Going to try next time I am there. Wish me luck!

Thanks for the reply! - I dont think I phrased my question well. Let me try again...its my understanding that typically to be offered a b or k, you need to have spent a certain amount across a variety of departments to show that you are a loyal h customer. My question was whether or not SAs count the purchase of a constance in that dollar amt. For example, hypothetically if the prerequisite was that you needed to spend 10k before the SA would be willing to offer a b or k, would buying a constance count towards the 10k (such that you only had to buy 2k of other goods to hit 10k), or would you have to buy 10k of scarves / rtw / shoes / other non b, k, c items?

I'm just trying to prioritize items on the list of things I want to buy and would move the C down the list if it didnt count.

I wld say furniture, RTW and fine jewelry wld get you offered faster so stick with them! I happen to like their furniture and RTW (along side with their crystal) so I wld say at the end of the day, buy what makes you happy. If it happens to be RTW so be it! Don't let the quota talk controls what you like or what not. [emoji106]

To clarify, what is the current amount that you are expected to spend before they will sell or order you a kelly bag? Does this vary region to region, or is the same? Im in NY and used to be a very regular customer with a spending history but my SA left the store and havent been there in 3 years or more.

I don't think there is a specific amount on how much you should spend, but they are expecting you to buy many other non B/K items, to be offered one.

I understand - - Ive shopped at Hermes for about 20 years and bought several birkins, but my current situation is that, while I've spent a ton on non B/K pieces over the past ten years, Ive not spent hardly anything lately - as I lost my SA about 3 years ago and stopped shopping in the store, except for gloves and a shawl here and there. "Many" could mean a lot of things. One poster suggested $1800, and another suggested $10K. There is a big difference. The threshold used to be around $3K. I supposed one could come out and ask. Its unreasonable not to mention unrealistic for them to expect you to just keep pulling out your credit card and guess when you're hit the jackpot. Certainly there are great things in the store that you could easily spend $2K or $10K, but you wouldn't necessarily buy them there unless you were building your frequent flyer miles so to speak - you could buy many of these things elsewhere for less (or at least elsewhere where there is a better return policy so less risk). Also I understand that about 3 or 4 years ago they changed the commission structure so that the SAs do in fact get commissions on birkins and kellys. However, there was a limit on how many they could sell one client (no more than 2 a year, I believe) and they could not be sold over the phone. I have no idea if any of this is still in effect. If so. this would all seem to make it easier for a local person to buy in the NYC store but Im not sure that is actually the case. Any insight on any of these issues would be welcomed and appreciated.

The SA's are straight forward, I would recommend for you to go give them a visit and ask. I find the SA's at Madison Avenue store very helpful comparing to other store in the us and Europe, I'm sure they will give you the answer you're looking for.

Hi Jedi! Long time no see. How have you been? If you need a good salesperson (no BS, straight forward) lemme know! Would be happy to make the introduction (although I am sure some old salesperson might remember you still). Yes, lots have changed but more or less the same. They can tell you over the phone what they have in stock but you have to be there in person to pay for and collect it. And yes, most people still have the 2 per year quota. I know it can be broken per sales manager approval though. I don't know if there is a set number per sec, I just know I buy what I like and if they offer me a bag, so be it! They have plenty in stock right now, I would say now is a good time to go and ask. :)

Have fun hunting!!!

Hi guys, hope all is well. I'm looking for the Evelyne tpm. 16 mini size. I have an SA at Madison but currently their stock doesn't have the colors im looking for. If I went to another store, would the offer the mini? Or do I need to start a relationship for it. Thx

Try WS. You don't need a relationship for an evelyne.

Hi all, a little off topic sorry! Does anyone have a recommendation for drycleaners that you use regularly in NY for your delicate clothes? TIA [emoji3]
I love King Garment Care (they are on 6th Avenue in the South Village). I live in Soho in a small non-doorman building and they actually pick up and deliver here. They've cleaned my GM cashmere shawls perfectly, unpilled them, and they have come back looking new. I also send my better clothes there (Saint Laurent, Kiton, Roland Mouret) without a problem. They're expensive but not as expensive at Mme Paulette, which is also good but I stopped sending things there after they lost a Elie Tahari shirt. Hope this helps.
