I was in the Madison store this morning before noon.. To my surprise it was not
busy & was able to select several scarves. The SA was really patient & the editing
was better than expected..

BG also had a nice selection of scarves.. They must have gotten their delivery
for fall...

I was there also today around noon—and there was no wait at all at the scarf counters

Thanks hedgwin99. That only leaves Friday afternoon for me then. Do you think it would be too crazy then? What I actually like about this is I could then hit Madison Saturday morning if need be.

This sounds like a terrific plan. You'll love it.

Okay. You're all SO great. Just discussed with DH. We'll spend afternoon in Lower Manhattan Friday. Lunch in Chinatown (thanks for recommendation!). He'll go to 9/11 memorial while I hit Hermes. Then check out other shopping down there. Dinner at Per Se or NoMad.

Saturday morning, Madison Ave Hermes, and a consignment shop or two. Then it's off to LI to see BFF since HS and then the half marathon. I'm just rewarding myself in Advance! Thank you all so much.

Have fun!!! Wall St H is literally right out side NYSE. Lots of tourists n cops hanging around. I usually stop by around 6pm on Thursday. The store was very quite last hour before closing. During day time like around 12 noon to 2pm it could be crazy in the store. The one and only time I stop by to pickup some on reserve for me I had to wait over 40min for my SA to wrap up with his other client. Also,If u guys can secure a tour for the federal bank gold vault tour you will be amazed as well. You actually see the gold bar behind the locked gate. Imagine grabbing one gold bar n dash into Hermes to shop til u drop! [emoji16]

Hahaha! That's funny! Thanks! I'm looking forward to it!

Thank you both very much, such helpful information. I'll be staying at the NoMad at Broadway and 28th, do I think either one is fair game commuting-wise, no? I'll be going for scarves and fragrance primarily. And didn't get the scarf in question on H.com because I really need to see them on me first, so the better lighting is very tempting. I'd go to both, but not sure I want to drag hubby to two. I think I'll check out what else is down by the Wall Street store as far as shopping. Madison we know well and had a day planned. WS could be a fun change!

Have fun at The NoMad! One of our favorite NYC hotels. Do take a taxi to the Madison store from the hotel as it is a long walk. I love both Madison and Wall Street stores but have to say that it is farther to trek out to WS from the NoMad. If you have time, I'd check out both! Two totally different ( both awesome ) experiences.

I was quite surprised at how great the service was at both Madison stores! After hearing some stories of aloof SAs and such I wasn't expecting much, but it was the best service I'd received in a US Hermès boutique. Even though I didn't have any history at this store, the leather SA took down my entire bag wishlist and when I sheepishly asked if she had any B's, she said "Always ask! I'll keep an eye out for all of these!" Although I'm sure I won't be at the top of the list for bags, it was nice to meet an SA who at least showed that she was interested in finding my perfect bag. This was a Monday btw so it may have also been due to the light crowd, but I was incredibly impressed by how sweet and helpful the SAs were.

This has been my experience at the Madison store as well. Even the first time I went in there, they were friendly and had great service, and that has continued ever since. Their in-store customer service is fantastic in my opinion.
