If you want to focus on RTW, then it would be best for you to have a RTW SA (if yours is not in that area). There are a few RTW SAs at Madison that do understand everything about cut and fit, and are excellent in giving directions to the tailor. I noticed some SAs from other departments sometimes are not as good in that because that is not their expertise.

I went shopping with my friend with a RTW SA and even my friend was extremely impressed how much this SA knew about cut, fit and alterations.
We already got assigned someone new, but would love the name of the RTW SA if you feel comfortable sharing via DM. I went with DH to Bergdorf’s recently because he wanted to grab another cashmere coat, and the cashmere of other brands (BV, Prada etc) was actually very inferior compared to my coat from H! So I do love their craftsmanship. I’m also eye-ing quite a few pieces coming through from the FW runway 😍

If you are interested in runway or items from the last resee, I would simply ask to talk to the RTW manager. She may be blue to ascertain if the pieces you are interested in will come in (though Paris has the final word). And she can reserve your size (no obligation, but I don’t make requests unless I’m seriously interested). She can also figure out who the best SA might be for you. My DH does men’s MtM and those coats are also very nice (in some cases, more classic than the RTW)

Ohhh that’s a wonderful idea, especially since he already works with other brands on MtM! We actually wanted to get him a coat from H but now it’s all the spring stuff in store. I had no idea you could pre-order

hi i was just wondering if anyone had any feedback regarding how difficult it would be to get a mini evelyn as a walk in from madison ? thanks
I think it’s possible! I have friends that have gotten a Picotin as a walk in. I walked in 10 min before closing and the SA told us they were closing the registers to come back at opening that they had non quota bags but we didn’t make it back. Definitely try!

I’m pretty sure this has been mentioned before, but I just have to say—the stairs at the Madison store are so beautiful. I have no idea why I love them so much, but I do.
I love them so much, that I sent my architect and GC in to see them. And, I showed my stone mason pics when he was doing our fireplace. The limestone that they used is amazing. They are sculpture. And, I forget how much, but they cost Hermes a fortune to do.

It truly, truly is a beauty!! I don’t even want to imagine how much it cost but I'd love to have the same limestone in my home too. Honestly, I got more of a thrill from looking at the stairs, and the scarves and the artwork on the wall than the display bags. I was way too self-conscious to take photos, though I felt like I'd look like a total creep just hanging around the stairs.

Seriously, don’t be self conscious. My SA adores the stairs too. The way they loop and swirl is stunning. It’s one of the incredible pleasures of going to the Madison maison.

Some info (it took a year to build) Portuguese limestone
I vaguely recall someone telling me cost of 7 million USD, but I could be thinking of something else and entirely mistaken

Seriously so SO pretty! The details and the intricacy of it is just :love:. I'm definitely going to take a closer look the next time I visit. Do they change the artwork frequently? Sorry if I'm derailing the convo - I was just in so much awe!
