You got b30, k25, and b25 all with just 27k prespend?? And you're looking to switch SA? I need that SA's name asap (jk, maybe)! LOL
Haha no you really don’t. It wasn’t a pleasant experience overall… I really feel like if you are planning to spend over 100k a year at a brand every year repeatedly (and some of our friends had been doing it for 10 years w/ H not even including the bags which easily add another 100 since they’re at the level of more blue boxes now) it should not leave a bad taste in your mouth. But we are permanently based in nyc now and I have spend accounts I enjoy with other brands too, so I was ready to take a H break if needed. I do loveeee H bags though (like way more than cc) so I hope we can get along much better with the new SA. I’ll update sometime in the next few months!!

Maybe not for 100k every year and only getting 1-2 bags.
But 27k and 3 bags? Maybe a little bad taste is ok? That in and of itself is already amazing service by H's standards.

I’ll honestly say here I think bc a few members of my friend group shop with them, that was the expectation of where I would be in a few years in terms of spend. They all get 4 bags a year btw, not like crazy exclusive (picnic / doll level) but certainly MK or any exotic. And I don’t mind the idea of the spend? But I just personally like to chit chat and gossip with my SA. Vs our SA was very transactional and wanted to know exactly what we were buying before we came so she could maximize time for her other appointments. I don’t blame her but it’s not my vibe. Also typically for larger purchases I like to go through the journey w my husband so we have the memories, and he absolutely detested her lol….. it was tough.

100k a year can get you 4 QBs at this CA store?? Wow.
Just to set your expectations, this would never happen at any NYC store. A lot of us here spend close to that or much more and I don't think any of us are getting more than the standard 2. It is also very normal for the SA to get a sense of what we're looking for before an appointment, so they can swap/transfer things around if needed.

Really? This is at Madison. Could I ask how many years you have been shopping with them? Maybe I really should reset expectations and prepare to move on

I shop at another NYC location, been there for about 5-6 yrs now. I didn't think my location is that different from Madison in terms of competitiveness, but maybe I'm wrong. Our friends from Madison on this thread can chime in. :)
IMO 4 QBs a year with just 100k spend at Madison seems... not the norm.

I’m at Madison. $100k doesn’t get you 4QB per year. Particularly not as a new client. Maybe the individual is talking about 2 separate profiles (husband and wife) so it seems like they are getting 4 bags. Even then still tough. 4 year Madison shopper. 6 year H shopper.

Makes sense. With 2 separate profiles I'd imagine you'd need a healthy spend on each to get the full 4 QBs.

Yep husband and wife. I’m not sure why this is so surprising though bc the math works out to about 2:1 for normal bags and 1:1 for exotic which is standard. It’s not capped at 100k but certainly doesn’t reach 200k on non bag categories. FWIW I anecdotally know one friend shopping at MP that has a higher ratio now (but was close to 1:1 during covid). He’s just reluctant to switch bc he really likes the SA, but they live on the UES lol. They also always push on him things he doesn’t really want to buy like exotics and desordre type bags that are high ticket with little resale markup. (None of us resale).

2:1 even for MK? Time for me to switch to Madison lol.

hahaha I actually swung by MP on saturday for a twilly, bc my SA at madison seems allergic to the first floor 🙄. She was even very annoyed one time I wanted to try on / buy some sandals. But I will say the guy who checked me out at MP was surprised by the spend / bag ratio, so maybe if that is what you are after Madison is better. Just make sure u speak to SM, because all the senior sales ppl at madison are almost never on the floor for you to meet casually. I also don't know if this is helpful for you -- but they seem to prefer profiles where you have kids in the UES private school system. Presumably so you can bring them new reliable moms who spend?
