How often does Hermes Madison restock their non quota bags? When is a good them to go for the best chance to score a bag with some purchases ? (Beginning or the end of month). Thank you.
They get them multiple times a week with no rhyme or reason for the timing. If it’s been a bad month, the end of the month is the best. If it’s been a good month, the end of the month is the worst. There’s no way to know so it’s best just to go when it’s most convenient for you and to build a long term relationship so that hopefully your SA is thinking of you whenever the bag happens to show up and be saleable.

Timing unfortunately is everything or most everything with H.
SA's never know what or when inventory comes in, but generally before the holidays
( don't know how far in advance) one has just to keep checking with your SA
& patience & perseverance is key, JMO

How much does this workshop cost per person?
As mentioned by several other posters, the Petit H has only been at Maison Madison once before
when it was held at the other Madison location. I happened to be at that event & make it a
point when I'm in Paris to get to Sevres.
This is really almost a once in a lifetime event to see a showcase of very unique & special items
as the Petit H collection with likely many new pieces will start to travel worldwide
It is also an introduction to this "Metier" to give H lovers an opportunity to see these creations
& there is no charge for attending the workshop & frankly, if there was , I'd be inclined to
participate as this event is so unique.
Just think for a moment, an artisan is there to help you create an item, in this case a "mask"
generated from leathers as well as silk leaves, flowers, etc that come from the
last surviving shop in NYC that were created to H's specifications.
If one is not able to get a workshop appointment it is worth it to see these items (from shared posts)
as Petit H is only available at Hermes (Sevres) location in Paris & likely these pieces will not
be duplicated or repeated, JMO

What matters @unspokenfashion5 is that you "know" that what you are buying is the real deal
Realistically, do you think anyone in your social & professional circle is going to ask you
to remove your shoe or boot to examine it to see if it is "authentic"?
There are wonderful H shoes in unique colors & styles, just choose what you like, your style should
speak for itself not the label, JMO
💯 the most popular items are ones that may be most likely to be faked. The least popular are less likely. Shoes are among a top category to be faked. But, since everything H is expensive, there is no point to buying anything except if you love it . If you want to be truly unique, then small artisanal bespoke would be a better bet lol.

Madison, as one of two Maisons in the US, the other being BH, fortunately has a lot of interesting things, some hard to find in other US boutiques.

Hey NYC TPFers! It looks like I’ll be back in town again next month and this time should have time to do a visit to Madison for the first time. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on whether I should try to make an appointment ahead of time? The thing is my main goal is to look at display bags or any store-only for B40s and K42s so I can see them in person and try them on for size. I’m not really motivated to buy anything in particular there, so I wouldn’t want to waste an SAs time with an appt vs just walking in. Of course if I saw something I liked that wasn’t available in Dallas I’d consider it. Any thoughts?

Edited: See our rules on meets

Thanks!

If your goal is to just try and you don’t want the hassle of doing an elaborate dance I would just walk slightly north and to to TRR store to try on their bags. They won’t say no and you can browse to your heart’s content without feeling you need to buy so much as a button!

Thanks - that’s a good idea, but I also really do want to check out the store. I may try TRR after if the bags u want to see in person aren’t at Madison.

Also I’d be happy to do an elaborate dance if it made getting a K42 possible one day, since my Dallas SA pretty much said they will likely never get one in stock because of the local demands for other bags.

If you go early in the day soon after the store opens, it’s usually not that busy. The store opens at 10 am Monday to Saturday. It’s closed on Sundays except in December. You should be able to get an SA to help you without an appointment if you go early. By 1 pm most days the store can get pretty busy. 4th floor is where most of the bags are on display but men’s shoes and bags are on display on the ground floor. If you have time after talking to an SA in the menswear department on the 1st floor, you should visit the 4th floor to see the bags on display as they usually have some serious eye candy up there. Men’s RTW is on the 2nd floor. I hope you find something you like.

Thank you! Honestly I hadn’t even thought about men’s RTW. I have a shirt I love from the SF location but Dallas has very very limited RTW on display, so I’d love the opportunity to see more in person and maybe grab something while I’m there. <3

If you are chasing bag offers, highly recommend you only window shop at other H stores and take a pic of the tag to ask your home SA to source the item for you.
