I am relatively young for my age to be shopping here, but I need to make sure that my social and professional circles see me as my *authentic* best self (which includes what we wear).
With your disclaimer noted, do you think that the people in your social and professional circles assume that what you wear is fake? I guess my question is not “why do you care” but “is it really an issue”? Either way, I’m 💯 with @acrowcounted. I’m not sure that your SA will necessarily appreciate being asked to be photographed so you can provide “proof”. Have fun shopping and I hope you find something you really love!

Thank you for your input! I should have worded better: I will not take pictures of my SA (that will for sure make them uncomfortable!), but like a POV style of my shopping experience that you see a lot online.

Hello everyone!

I have a shopping appointment coming up in a week, and my chosen métier is shoes. I've already have a pair of Hermès Orans and the Jumping Boots, but I'm looking for something that's not... well, so commonly faked now 😅

***DISCLAIMER***: Before anyone rushes to the reply section with "Why care about what anyone else thinks is real or fake" and "just buy what you like!" The reason we buy from Hermès besides quality and heritage is, of course, the status that comes with it.

So, with my small speech over, what Hermès shoes that you see in the wild that you KNOW are authentic? Thank you for your expert H opinion!
What about the tall Jaimie boots? I don't think those have been duped ... YET...
Maybe the platform Faubourg sandals... with the etching or the rhinestones on the sides. Those are pretty unique and I haven't seen them get duped... YET... Just stay away from orans and chypres. Dupe City.

ETA: I don't personally have an issue with Orans and Chypres and have many pairs, but I know these are commonly duped.

Hahaha! Woman! You know the shoes you just mentioned are both over $3k a pair. All I can say for people who think I wear fakes, thank you. Maybe you will divert your curiosity to that rich looking person over there wearing the Himalying and renting the Bentley for the day cruising down Rodeo Dr.

@unspokenfashion5, many SAs are camera shy and do not like their photos taken, especially if you plan on sharing the photos publicly and you are not a long term client.

What matters @unspokenfashion5 is that you "know" that what you are buying is the real deal
Realistically, do you think anyone in your social & professional circle is going to ask you
to remove your shoe or boot to examine it to see if it is "authentic"?
There are wonderful H shoes in unique colors & styles, just choose what you like, your style should
speak for itself not the label, JMO

Went to the Madison Store to shop the petit h event and had a blast! I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. There are so many items that aren't listed on the website, and many brand-new objects that were created specifically for the NYC event. Bag charms were selling out like hotcakes, but my SA told me that they would be getting additional shipments. Everything purchased comes with adorable leather ribbon charms.

AHHHHH thank you for sharing - this is awesome! I hope they'll still have things in stock by the time I go (toward the end of the event). :D

What are the products besides bag charms? Thx!

They have lots of one-off furniture and art pieces. Most items on display are for sale, and many of them are one-of-a-kind. There is an entire corner dedicated to children's furniture (think child-sized stools, study desks, shelves, etc.) There was a small ready-to-wear section at the entrance that I wasn't able to take a picture of that was mostly comprised of silk/cashmere vests and capes (all on the website). There was also a new line of NY-exclusive decorative boxes (they look like Japanese bento boxes but I think they are made of stoneware instead of lacquer) with a NY food-themed leather band (hot dog, egg sandwich, apple, etc.) There are also silk pouches, tote bags, silk costume jewelry, and a ton of leather home decor items (storage boxes, decorative paperweights, music boxes, etc.).

My cousin, who went to the petit H appointment only shopping event in the Madison store yesterday, sent me this image.

THIS brings “shop until you drop” to a whole other level! A whole stone panel facade separated from a wall cabinet and dropped on the floor while customers were crowding around it. She said she does not know what exactly occurred, because she was in a separate area, however it was quite loud when it happened, and everyone in the store could hear it when it fell.

I will be traveling to NYC soon. Hopefully there will still be some goodies left for me to get. And hopefully it will be less crowded.

A few more photos from my visit from yesterday. I just noticed the missing panel! 😮 It likely fell before I visited - I didn't make it into the store until late afternoon

I went in quickly to see what they had in stock for petit H.
The store was very busy and charms were flying off the shelves.
My SA said that they sold a little and will get some restock but not sure when.
I couldn’t get a workshop appointment as it was totally sold out but have one for next week.
Would love to know more about what the petit h workshop appointments are / what the experience is like!
