Hi all! I am going to NYC for a couple days soon and want to purchase a mini Lindy (dream bag).. Any tips on which location is best or how to increase my chances? I have tried to get it in London and Paris and have had no luck so far. I have a US profile with a couple small things (fine jewelry and wallet) but no SA relationship at the moment.
Madison, it has much more stock than the other stores

Madison does not operate like Paris, so you do not need a leather appointment to buy leather goods or to shop there. You can call and try to make an appointment ahead of time, but it's just a shopping appointment, not a "leather" appointment. However, while Madison does have very good stock, a mini Lindy is a coveted bag and it would be highly highly unlikely that they would offer one to you as a new walk-in client. This bag usually requires a SA "relationship" and some level of spend history before being offered. Even long standing clients with existing relationships with an SA sometimes have to wait awhile to be offered a mini Lindy. Some people do get lucky and get offered bags as a walk-in, but those tend to be bags like a Picotin, Evelyne TPM, or 24/24 and such...not a mini Lindy 😬 Your best bet for getting a mini Lindy from the boutique is to establish a relationship with an SA at a store that is most convenient for you and put it on your wishlist.
It is a beautiful store though and worth a visit. The Petit H event is happening right now too so it's a good time to go. Good luck and enjoy!
NYC is going to be even harder than London and Paris. Madison is your best bet but your chances at a mini Lindy are unfortunately slim to none. To increase your chances of getting one as a same day walk in client, you would need to make a significant purchase (think: single item with cost of $15k-20k) and even after that, Madison would likely prefer to see an on-going relationship which is why it is usually a factor of both spend and time/repeat visits. My recommendation is to go to Fashionphile in NYC and buy a mini lindy there. They have several colors to choose from and the premium is actually fairly low and manageable. Good luck!
I think Madison is a store that welcomes people from out of town, especially foreigners. I have people that stay at my house all the time and have seen them getting great bags with lower prespend than what would generally be required/expected. You might get lucky, I hope you do @hermeslover1688! ❤️

Hi, I’m going to New York by the end of October. I have a well established profile in Canada but from what I’m seeing US would not be able to see my profile. I was hoping to score an Evelyn TPM or Halzan mini/25 or a 24/24 mini. Would it be smart to just go into the leather section and ask directly? Or would I be better off to buy a little item then ask? I was thinking of dressing in “proper” Hermes fashion. Like have an hermes item here and there. Are they keen to offering bags to tourists?
I wouldn’t say that they are keen to offer bags to tourists, but it cannot hurt to ask directly. I think mini bags are not easy even for those of us with established profiles. I don’t think buying a small item matters. But JMO and ymmv. Good luck!

I ran across a website last week that literally had the entire Hermes shoe catalogue available as fakes. You can’t win this game. Buy what you love that looks good on you and wear it with confidence.
Well that sucks 🥲 Guess I'll just go with that advice, and take pictures of my shopping experience with my SA!
