Has the Roosevelt Field location started selling bags? I know as late as February of this year they only had jewelry, shoes, scarves/twillys, apple watch products, etc., but I haven't been since then and I did a quick google search for that specific location to look at the hours, and I noticed now it says "High-end retailer carrying the luxury brand's apparel, handbags, scarves & other accessories."

Is this new? Or just an error on Google?
It's probably just Google giving the usual description of H's typical inventory, not taking into account the limited selection at this location. That's my guess.

I feel silly asking this questions but.. you know how these relationships can be…

have your SAs ever take over two weeks off? I texted mine two weeks from Monday and she hasn’t read it (her read receipts are on). Saw her about two weeks prior. We’ve been “together” (:P) two years and I don’t remember her ever taking this long to answer, even when I know she was away for a week or so.

I guess more so I am wondering if it’s possible she has left… or if I am just being paranoid…
I texted my SA first week of July and caught him right before his flight for a work offsite that would last 1 week. Had I asked a day later, I’d also wonder if I was ghosted. He ended up getting the item I was looking for the week he came back and I asked to come in the following weekend to which he responded that he would be on a 3 week vacation at that time. Had I texted then, I would for sure think I was ghosted since 3 weeks is so long. Long story short - I have first hand experience with an SA being out for an extended period of time and only found out because of pure luck. Hope that makes you feel better!

I went to the Madison Avenue boutique this past Saturday for the first time since February 2020. It was nice getting to see the new store. It was sad that I only recognized one sales associate. I asked for the sales associate I had worked with in the years leading up to 2020. I got the standard she is no longer with the company, andI left it at that. The sales associate was clearly rattled that I asked. Given the last four years I let it go, but it made me sad, and of course concerned about her and how she was.

Interesting. Do others feel like there’s been a lot of turnover at the store since 2020? I still see my old SA around, although she short of ghosted me so I don’t shop with her anymore, but I guess I don’t recognize anyone else really.

I still see a lot of faces I recognize from pre Covid times. But there do seem to be more new faces than long time SAs at new Madison. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing as I feel the vibe has become much friendlier.

Hi all! I am moving to NYC from Europe later this year, where I've been shopping with H/gotten QBs...what is the prespend for a desirable QB nowadays? I'd want K25 selliers or B25/30's. I know there's never a set amount, but about 2:1, 1:1, etc? And in your experience once you hit that, how long does it take to get a bag? Stores in Europe really vary on how long they take to give a bag (some like Paris it's same-day, some like London it can be a good year), so I'm curious to learn how this works here!

There is literally no recipe. Some get lucky and get it very quickly with minimal spend, some get it very quickly after super high spend, and some take months/years even after good spend. Best to be prepared to spend at least 3:1 and wait up to a year or more, especially for the first bag. Its always possible that it will take more/longer than that but those are reasonable expectations to start out with.

Oh wow! Thanks. Europe is a lot better for this then haha. Thank goodness I intend to keep my address there too

Great advice here. Will come down to how willing the SA will be to advocate for you. There isn’t a wishlist system such as you’re likely familiar with (wishlist doesn’t go into a central repository where the back office associates bags to the wishlist item) but rather the SA advocates for you and the manager approves or denies. To that end, I’d recommend going into the store as often as you can. In person relationships will be stronger than being one of 100 texts that an SA gets a day.

This is a good point to really highlight - many American SAs use the term “wishlist” and I think it confuses people who also shop in Europe.

Wishlist doesn’t mean anything standard here and every SA uses it to mean whatever they want it to mean. I have seen SAs use the term to 100% blow someone off and I’ve seen it used to seriously understand what a customer wants.

RF and WB are "pop ups" and do not sell bags.
WB will be opening down the street from it's current location in about 18-22 months, and it will then be a full Maison.
I've got no idea as to the fate of RF.
I’m curious in exploring Hermes more and WB is way closer to me. This is good information thank you! Now I’m wondering if I should just stick with them there and play the long game, or start at Madison

If WB is much easier for you location-wise, I'd definitely go there and start a relationship early.
Thank you! Part of me wants to try establishing at Madison, esp with how much stock they have, but I’m a little intimidated by some of the clientele there. I know it’s all in my head and based on SA relationship, but for some reason reading here just adds to some of my nerves ha. My dream would be a Birkin or Kelly touch

Madison is already pretty saturated. WB will be a full flagship before long and I'm sure they will make their original clients as happy as possible when the new store opens. The more ground level you can get in on that the better, imo.
