fun time at the NY trunk show/resee and cocktail hour or whatever it was called tonight with @jp824 . But, IMO, it is not fun to have to go all the way down town when your home store is Madison. The brown ostrich feather leather coat IMO would be perfect for a rock star with long legs, and was very furry hobbit on me, but I could see @haute okole in this  @Bdbunny asked me to try on the mini shoulder Birkin and the bomber jacket to confirm size. I think both of us will be size 36. . .(Head of RTW confirmed availability and that the current size 38 was too big. I think the new ‘mini’ shoulder Birkin will be good for people who love the style; the tiret doesn’t stick into your inner arm as much; and, it’s not as heavy as a brick. But, the old one is an easier shoulder carry. ETA: Part of the appeal of the original shoulder birkin was its lavish oversized rectangular shape, and the fact that if you weren’t careful, you could inadvertently wack someone with it (I confess it was too much bag for me and too deep; I prefer and do wear the original fringe shoulder kelly). So the newer one is cute, and easier to wear, but without that sense of joyous impracticality. I can hear @textilegirl ‘s voice in my head, and I think she and I would have a similar preference for #1.

The safari jacket, size 38, was just too much for a shortie (5’2) like me; even the pockets were too low. @DR2014 and @nymeria , hope you were able to go earlier in the day. I got there at five pm, so I didn’t get much chance to shoot pics of the racks of clothes . . Too many people were clustered around, some of whom DH vaguely recognized from the last trunk show. It was fun hanging out with the SAs of friends (mine couldn’t make it, and it was fun chatting with the SMs. Very wearable, NYC urban collection, and not too UES (I mean that as a descriptive statement not disparagement, since I’ve lived for most of my life on the UES)

Thank you for the share! The bomber jacket is high on my list for winter and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing the price if you had it? Also can I ask if you thought it was oversized or true to size? I asked my SA to hold a 38 for me (my usual H size).

I think the style is oversized, but I took a size 36 in this seasons cashmere moto jacket and the synthetic zip sports coat, s9 I would say TTS in comparison with this season. (I’m a size 36 in this seasons Dior and Chanel too). Your SA will be the best judge. I was looking for tags, but couldn’t find them. I took the managers word it was a size 38. And, I am sure the price will make us wince when it comes in. . . Esp. Bc mixed media jackets and coats seem to be more expensive than full leather or full cashmere. . .. My toile jacket, leather trim, I think was 10K USD in the summer of 2023? Two y3ars before that, my cashmere jacket, Togo leather sleeves was 4K. But, last season, the shearling short jacket was 12K USD. So not sure I can predict the big jumps. ETA: I think this is a runway piece. . .

Thank you! my SA said 38 for me but I'll chat with her again to get a better idea. And thank you for the price warning. I guess we will see when it releases!

I love the safari jacket on you. Maybe size down. Thanks for the eye candy

Super fun time at the re-see! Adding to the mix a few pics of the accessories and random shots that I took before I started partaking in champagne.
Sadly I was told that the front zip boots in the 1st pic will not be made into production :crybaby:, only the side zip will; took a picture to remember it by lol.
Love love love the tiny round bag that fits nothing!

Thanks for the eye candy!! Is the cream outfit the same one that photographs buttery yellow? Is it a cream or more of a pale yellow in real life?

My SA told me the same thing about the front zip boots. :crybaby:I love the color too. So sad. I did place an order for the side zip boots and they are super pricey, $3300!

Yes I think so (not 100% sure tho). The buttery yellow appears to be a lot more creamy and less yellow in person. Kind of like a nata but a little bit more yellow? Hard to describe, but very pretty!
(ETA: or maybe it's my camera? The shoulder Birkin is rouge sellier, but looks kinda purple in my photo which is not very accurate.)

Prices are definitely high this season! The little bag that holds nothing is ~$7k.

Yup, team ‘joyous impracticality’ here; I could develop a long list of candidates for the inadvertent whack, but alas there’s no Shoulder B in my bag arsenal . The new version strikes me as a bit of a cop out — throw the B hardware profile on a Victoria elan (I assume the B is lined in leather though). The proportions seem off, in a way similar to the relationship between the B30 and 35. I think Dumas had it right in shifting the HAC proportions to the B35; the 30 is ok, and a very useful bag but aesthetically I prefer the 35. And I think the shoulder version needs that length to make its visual point. JMO, and an initial view at that. Glad you had fun after the trek downtown ;)
