In addition to my previous message, you also didn’t mention which store. Madison will be the most competitive with the most stock so luck plays a larger factor there. The others are more laid back.

Going into the store matters, so drop in when you can.

From the bag side, you will most likely be offered a 28 Kelly out of what you listed. The demand for 25cm Birkins and Kellys is very high.

When you say the other stores are more laid back does that mean less competitive i.e. more potential to get a QB?

I mean not as busy. The relationship matters more. They still have many many VIPs, but the SA really spends time getting to know you. It doesn’t feel as transactional. With that, comes the urge for the SA to request something be allocated for you with the SM. Downside is that the stores get less stock.

This is just my opinion. I prefer the smaller stores, but we’ve also been very lucky at Madison so choose whichever path makes you most happy. Since you’ve already been very fortunate, I’d stay where you are and be patient.

H lovers in NYC:

I have finally obtained my dream bag and have posted some of pictures in the other thread (https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/space-for-guys-their-hermes.377429/post-35959462). My visit was a great success. My SA and the fellow SAs and I celebrated my birthday (with fruit tart and champagne); It was a great surprise and was beyond my imagination. My SA and I were able to catch up lots of things, which helped me correct my misunderstanding, etc. (Even if it was Saturday, it was not crowded at all... due to raining, perhaps?) My SA also re-assured that I am a good client that I should consider the next bag. (I guess I am so lucky now... hah)

After the visit, I've changed my mind about the "SA relationship." I used to think of it negatively (and more of a transactional relationship). I was clearly wrong and it was proved easily because my SA cares more than that. Lastly, I wanted to thank many of TPFers here who were able to give me great advice, support, etc. I appreciate all of your inputs! :)

Happy belated birthday.
Was this a normal shipping trip and your SA "surprised" you with the bag when you arrived at the store & after shopping a bit? Or did she call you beforehand and say "come in, I have something special for you"?

Thank you! I scheduled a meeting with my SA for next week actually, but earlier this week, my SA asked if I can come earlier than that. So, we scheduled accordingly and I showed up... So, I somewhat sensed "good news" but it was not that obvious. :)

Hi all! When will items from the FW24 runway show in Paris today start popping up in NYC stores? Are you able to pre order items or only at launch? TIA
I think things will start trickling in late summer, with the thinner pieces first, then the heavier coats and jackets.
You can definitely send your SA the items you're interested in, I usually send screenshots from the runway show, but whether or not runway pieces actually get produced for retail, how many pieces, whether your store will receive any, is anyone's guess.

Questions:

1) For those who shop in Paris frequently (and with home stores in NYC), do you let your SA in NYC know that you shop in Paris? Should I let my SA know this? (I haven't told her, but did not hide it either. What's the benefits and harms of telling my NY-based SA about this?)

2) Even if I don't tell, my SA in Madison can view and know what I purchased in Paris, right? Would my SA know if I got a quota bag from Paris in January 2024? Would this affect getting my quota bag from NYC this year? [I have no quota bag received in the US this year yet.] The SA in Paris told me that the the systems are not connected, so my purchase in Paris (including the quota bag I got) cannot be viewed in the US. But, I keep getting confused as different people say different things. [If the systems are not connected, does this mean one can get 2 QBs from the US and 2 QBs from France, totaling 4 QBs, in theory? Of course, I am not a bag collector and have no intent to get 4 QBs, lol.]

I am scheduled for a leather appointment in Paris in early summer. (I think it's very likely that I will get the quota bag there again.) And, my SA in NYC also suggested me to order a quota bag soon. So, I just wanted to clear the air before I make any mistakes.

ETA: If I get my second quota bag from Paris this summer, and if my SA in Madison will know it and will not offer me a quota bag this year at all, then I would not go shopping in Madison this year (since Paris is a lot cheaper anyway).

Thank you,

Thank you,

We tell our SA most things and they’ll also be the first to tell you that if something special is at another store, grab it since supply is low.

That being said, I’m pretty sure that they cannot see what you buy in Paris and that Paris cannot see what you buy in the U.S…..yet. I’ve read that they’re planning to merge but believe they’re still separate today.

My NY and FSH SAs know we shop both, and know what offers I get (because I tell them)
I shop and get FSH offers twice a year on comparatively low spend.

I also get NY offers (where the majority of my spend is. I shop in all H locations under the same name

I don’t think it matters provided you have adequate spend at your home store. JMO

Thank you. I think I will talk about these with my SA more naturally, hopefully without offending her at all. You are correct that when I went to Paris in January, the systems between the US and France were not connected. (In France, I gave my phone number and name, etc. and they could not find my information at all; So, I created a new account. Then, when I bought multiple items, the SA told me that these - including all the QBs and non-QBs - are not visible in the US.) Then in the US, I went over my order/purchase history with my SA, and she doesn't seem to be aware of my purchases in France and those I bought in the airports within the US.

Thank you! Yes, I will eventually disclose my shopping at Paris to my SA in Madison. (She knows that I am not a reseller or anything like that anyway.) I do want to stay loyal to my SA/Madison Maison. So, I hope I would not offend anybody by disclosing my info... It was good to check with someone who does this like I do. Thanks!

My NY SA encouraged me to try FSH when I shared with him I had plan to travel to Paris lol, he was like “you never know if you got lucky”. Then I was lucky to get to the top of FSH aka private room but my luck just stop there, I was not able to score any QB but I got mini lindy, good enough at that time ) I came back and told my SA, he laughed and said I was so lucky already.
