I am after a B35 and am open to tons of colors and neutrals! Am I even close? the 7k is without the evelyne I got online which brings me to 10k. I am also after a Kelly 28 or 32 as a second choice.
online purchases don't count... in fact some feel that they can actually even hurt your profile, but this is controversial.

A b35 shouldn’t be too crazy. I would think 1:1 should be sufficient. But then again they say big bags are coming back. Sorry I just read the post you said you were going to switch, didn’t mean to confuse you. Maybe your hubby can shop at Madison while you shop at mp before you transition completely over there.
I am single actually, and like 30, so I don't have that 5:1 spend ratio ability yet lol. I think you are totally right, I should get the bag first and then see about switching. But like.... I am almost there and they won't even sell me a pegase or rodeo for a bag. I must be VERY far from getting my QB. And yeah I see the trend swinging back around so I am trying to get one sooner before the demand goes up! A microbag does not fit my city lifestyle - I have dog poop bags, treats and 10 tubes of forgotten lipstick to carry people! Plus that kindle I keep not reading.

Re the pegase, that’s a lot of luck bc they sell out the same day they come in so if you’re not in the store that day they’re not going to be able to offer you any. I don’t think your SA intentionally is withholding the pegase from you.

Well then everyone, if you want a pegase you know where to go! They had vert comics (the one I wanted), gold with some sort of exotic wing in another color, and a third option in pastels. They also had multiple Kelly coin pouches and a vert fizz roulis wallet.

I decided to pop into the Madison Ave store during a stop over at my Manhattan apartment.

I walked into the Madison Ave store with 2 bickering teenagers in tow and completely dressed down in Crocs, shorts, tank top and accessorized with my handy-dandy Amazon messenger bag.

Here is the funny and slightly annoying part: Not one single Hermes employee said hello to me, yet alone made eye contact with me. There was no less than 6+ employees on each floor unoccupied by a customer and not one dared to make contact with me. As I was leaving the store, I was the one to say goodbye to the store security guard.

I find it funny because in this day and age, anybody could be a millionaire or a billionaire.

I guess I'll just continue to fly into Honolulu or Las Vegas from California when the Hermes shopping bug hits.

It's because I feel like they forget me as soon as I walk out the door lol. I can't imagine anyone thinking of me when it comes time to allocate quota bags in a year or so, when I have come in more. I usually only come in with an appointment when I am certain I want something, because I know how busy they are.
I hate to burst your shopping bubble, but it really is no different for the most part with any of the
luxury stores here especially in the city.
If your SA knows specifically that you are looking or interested in an item, the best you can hope for
is that your SA will do their best.
It reminds me of the saying, the SA is only good as his last sale. Same thing for the client.
If they don't see your face they are seeing the face & $$$ of the next client
Unless one is really an exceptional client & exceptional buyer, there will always be that client
that goes to the head of the line because that's the way the brand works unfortunately.
And perhaps reasons for many going the "bespoke" route now
There are exceptions, that's why we should all enjoy our shopping experiences & have
realistic expectations, JMO

I’m sorry to hear that.

I have noticed that Hermes SAs tend to not initiate contact, normally you have to flag someone down to start a conversation, I reckon it’s at least partially because of the whole “relationship” and “stick to shopping with one particular SA at your home store” aspect. They don’t want to take on another SA’s client. I do find that some stores have like an SA specifically near the door to ask you if you are looking for someone and direct you, but not every store has this (or doesn’t at all hours). It’s probably not all about your look, I’ve been left alone while wearing H when I’m browsing at stores on vacation! (I do think in general what you are wearing can have an impact on attitudes in most places where people recognize them, and luxury brand stores tend to be one of those places).

It works out for me because unless it’s my home store I normally am there to just window shop and browse for eye candy, and at my home store I have someone I work with and text them to set up appointments. But this system is definitely daunting for first time / occasional shoppers. I hope you have good luck in Hawaii/Las Vegas!

I get that H isnt bothered by who is a million or billionaire - their sales are constantly growing and stock is low or gone before it hits the floor. Not to mention lots of non-millionaires spend tons with them. Sadly sales being easy gives them the excuse to ignore people or not making them feel welcomed! I don’t like the not saying hello or not making eye-contact.

Just being nice goes a long way whether that person has tons of money or dreams of shopping there ‘one day.’ Basic customer service practices should be standard especially at a luxury house.

Perhaps the fact that the store was closing in 15 min may have entered into this.

Yep, if this continues I will switch SAs or stores. She will say something is on the way for me to try on, since that store has low inventory in shoes and RTW, and then never follow up/respond to texts. I am literally trying to go in and spend money and give them commission, and they can't even let me know whether something is in so I can schedule a buying appointment. It's ok if they are busy and forget things sometimes, but ghosting is unacceptable imo.

I have a dilemma. I have been obsessed with getting a SO. I live in Chciago and had a great SA. However she has changed since COVID. She is not interested in selling me anything. She never reaches out and when I am in the store never shows me anything and just tells me to buy things on line. She keeps telling me to text her that I want an SO which I have done at least three times. My fiends are having the same experience. I was at the Madison store a few weeks ago and found an amazing sales person. I bought a 24/24 and shoes from her since (happened to be in NY twice). Here is the drum roll question: chicago is opening a new store and I have an appointment in October. Should I keep buying in chicago or continue shopping at Madison? I was ready to give up on chicago completely but then this appointment came up. It is not an SO appointment so who knows if I will be offered an unwanted tie and a worn pair of shoes or a mini k in pink (another dream of mine). On the other hand, I anm getting this traction with the New SA annd have a really good feeling about this relationship. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
