So I finally made it to the store Friday. I purchased RTW and am looking fwd to going back.
The question is, how often should I make a purchase? I am looking at the Kelly bag.
Shopping should be without the pressure of how often should I make a purchase.
Purchasing a significant amount or not such a significant amount is no guarantee that
the Kelly bag will come your way.
It may happen with how you connect with your SA, but there are just no guarantees
so you should be buying what you love & what you will enjoy wearing or using in your home, JMO

Just out of curiosity, which store did you decide to shop at?

I don’t think there’s a formula to getting a bag. Like others have said, buy what you love at a pace that makes sense for you. :flowers:

Womens RTW trunk show at MP this weekend! Would love to see what everyone got! I went yesterday and picked up this dress:

Runs TTS and the material is really nice and thick, and textured, giving it a semi-structured look. Will post mod shot when I wear it out (as soon as it gets a little less hot in the city).
Just posted what I got in the RTW thread! I didn’t see that dress but it’s so cute!

Selection was amazing. Wife walked out with a belted dress.

So I posted this in the main thread, but I am going to post it again here because it is more NY specific:

I am a newer client to Hermes, and have spent maybe 7k with one really nice SA at MP. Lately I feel like they are not super responsive - I ordered something through them to be sent to the store to try on, and it's been a few weeks without any update from them. I have had to message them in the past to remind them about things I ordered. If I don't message they apparently never "arrive" and I never hear about it again. They did give me a non quota bag after 2k in spend months ago, which I appreciate, but I am wondering if they wants to continue to work with me due to the non-responsiveness.
I went to the Madison location and they offered me a kelly compact wallet or a roulis belt bag type wallet (passed - this spending would be high enough to upset my regular store) and rodeos (took one - was the exact color I wanted, not expensive) immediately, and I am wondering if I should switch to that SA and store and reset my spend before I am in too deep. MP basically said that a rodeo for a bag I just bought (online, because they said they did not have this non quota bag either which is fine) is something I would need to work towards. I have 3 things I want to buy in store at the moment when my order arrives, but it seems like my SA is too busy to set this up or something. I make sure to always ask for things I could easily order online, so they can get commission in store.

another SA at Madison told me NOT to switch, and that her store has more inventory but also big spenders. I chose MP because I figured there would be less competition, but I LOVE the madison ave store, and just browsing/seeing new stuff on my lunch break, and I was really impressed that they offered me those items without even seeing my profile. I am kind of annoyed, because I don't feel like I am getting the customer service I would like considering I only ever make an appt if I am 100% sure I will be spending money. I just want them to let me know if something I requested has come in, without me needing to bother them nonstop.

What should I do? Once I buy at madison I obviously can't switch back. I have this fear in the back of my mind that I could spend a ton of money at one store over years and be like 100% forgotten about. Is that a thing, or is someone actually looking out for me/paying attention?

I wouldn't switch. I think it's ok to "bug" and text your SA if you have the intention of spending over time, which sounds like you do.

I think orders and transfers aren't always a priority for some SA's. other people on here would know better, but my SA (Madison) once gave the impression that it can be difficult to bring RTW items in as H inventory is so sparse these days.

however, I think it's odd they said a rodeo charm is something your need to "work towards"- she actually phrased it that way???

She told me they are hard but not impossible, and something she could look for in the future, which I thought was super odd considering they offered me multiple at madison, some in exotics, and a vert fizz roulis because I said I loved that color. She said a lindy was something to work towards, which is a little strange since its a non-quota bag. I would prefer my working went towards a B35 lol!

I don't think you should interpret the "nonresponsiveness" as the SA doesn't want to work with you. This subject has been discussed multiple times, and in general, "nonresponsiveness" usually means they don't have the item you requested or it hasn't come in yet.

Having said that, it sounds like you really prefer shopping at Madison Ave and it is a more enjoyable experience for you. I would not get wrapped up in the "competition" aspect of it because I think all stores are competitive in one or another (more stock, more clients vs less clients but less stock- pick your poison). Go where you have more fun! If you enjoy shopping at Madison Ave, then go shop at Madison Ave!

I also wouldn't let the $7k you already spent with the SA at MP deter you. Honestly, in the grand scheme of H, $7k is not going to make or break you. Go where you're happy. You might have a better, happier relationship with a different SA and I truly believe from my own experience, the relationship with your SA is key.

I’m not a longtime consistent H shopper as many are in this forum, but still wanted to reply as I do now shop regularly at MP.

First of all, shopping should be fun, you should enjoy the experience and shop where you want. If exact prespend is less important to you then the overall experience, sounds like switching to Madison makes sense for you. Quotas may take longer, but you’ll enjoy the experience so much more, which is how it’s supposed to be. This is supposed to be fun!!

That said, I understand from my MP SA that they’ve been short staffed the last few months, sometimes making communication difficult unless you’re in person for appointments. My SA has repeatedly apologized for delayed replies because of this. I could care less about the hiccups because I enjoy love the low key, warm atmosphere at MP. Sometimes I wish they had more inventory, and I’m often waiting for things that my SA has to order, but I’m not in a rush. Happy to spend my time and money there.

Ultimately, just shop where you don’t feel stressed and enjoy the experience.

Well also I can pretend that was prespend for the two non quota bags I managed to get this year (one online). I know I know, I keep reading that they are just busy but it hurts, because they want us to follow this regimented and strict system of buying from one person and place, but then aren't providing the service you would expect from a luxury brand (I want my amex platinum concierge/ any hotel level of service for this price).
Also - do you think someone will actually notice me being a regular customer? Is there some trigger/review that makes them think of you once you have been a loyal customer?

Edit: This may be the fault of management as well - maybe SA's need assistants to help with customer outreach!

I think you should think of the "prespend" as the money you spent on stuff you wanted, like a pair of shoes or whatever it was you bought. :) You will drive yourself crazy otherwise. I have been there!

I'm not sure what you mean by if they will notice that you are a regular customer... they will naturally remember you if you shop regularly.
