Hi ladies. Thanks again for your suggestions. I am back from my trip. It's been a whirlwind of a week for me. Sadly I am coming back empty handed in the handbag department from this trip.

We went to both and the SAs didn't seem very friendly at Madison. We enjoyed the Wall Street location more. It is as you described and I had a few good laughs with the SA who entertained me with scarf tying. I was told twice that for a B and K the stores tend to serve their clients first and that I need to put my name down with an SA back in California. The problem is I haven't been able to shop at any one store the past few years...I'll keep trying!

I did not come away empty handed though...I'll get some pics up soon.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I like the Madison store and the staff. I can't complain about the Madison store. I've been upstairs, downstairs and treated well, approached by more than 1 SA. I still haven't been offered a B or K.

Maybe next time with the handbags. It is the sales manager who makes the decision. I personally feel uncomfortable buying items that I don't need or want only to get a bag.

Can't wait for your reveal!

It depends on your SA. I am semi-local. I work in NYC but I don't have the luxury to drop by the store weekly to check on stocks. So I mentioned to my SA if he can ship out the items I wanted for me. My SA told me its a possibility but requires his manager approval. I have not tried this method yet but just something for u to think about if you build up a good rapport with the Wall St SA

Hi hedgewin, I also believe it is under a dollar amount (~ $4000?). I once had a bag that I purchased in person couriered to my apt. my SA said it was possible Bc it was under whatever dollar amount.

Though, maybe if the SD approved, I could have the larger spend items couriered too. But, I wonder what their insurance limits are for accidental loss/damage/theft in transit?

Do you mean this one? http://m.usa.hermes.com/leather/small-leather-goods/wallets/p-feuille-silk-in-classique-5.html

I want to see if they have a compact silkin in gray, brown, or black (http://m.usa.hermes.com/leather/small-leather-goods/wallets/silk-in-compact-wallet.html).

I do love all the additions of the other black wallets though, very stylish. I wish they posted a compact silkin in black soon.

Thank you for your notification though!

Madison has compact silkin in those colors. I saw the brown one, but for how long? It is best to take a trip there, meet a SA so you have a relationship with someone who will keep you posted on any purchase.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response!

When did you see the brown compact wallet?

I hope to make it out there when I have time. I'm just a little worried though because I heard Madison SAs are a little hostile.....

Btw, how do the SAs keep you posted on any purchase? They call you?

You should be fine heading to Madison, especially if you are only looking for a silk in wallet. don't worry!

If you have a SA, he/she may have your number to call you if 1. You gave your number to them and 2. they have something you are looking for. You typically have to develop a relationship with a SA for this to happen but sometimes you can develop a relationship by just calling the store and chatting with a friendly SA who offers to take down your info and knows what you are looking for.

As mentioned previously, i think you still need to be able to come to the store to purchase the item as I don't believe they do phone orders

I see! Thank you.

If you do develop a relationship with him/her, how many times will they call you typically? Once? Or does it depend on what items you told them you like/preferences?

Don't fret, it's unfortunate that several people say that as well as google and yelp reviews. However, you will have your experience 😊. I haven't had a negative, rude, unpleasant or bad experience at any Hermes. I don't think I look like money either. The fact that you know exactly what you want the sales associates will be overjoyed for a nice, quick sale.

I think it depends on the SA, you and your relationship. In my experience, my SA doesn't spam me with new items to purchase, she'll call me when something has arrived that she knows I want (i.e I've asked her for it on a previous visit). And I visit the store every so often even if it's just to say hi

Why don't you just call the store a day or two before you intend to visit the store to inquire about a specific item?

Hi, I also want to ask, did you see gray or black compact silkin wallets? Or brown only?

I really want to call them ask immediately but I think I won't be able to go until next week so.. Just praying they have the dark colors available!

Luxurylover, hmm I don't think there's anything wrong with calling tomorrow to see if they have what you are looking for and then asking if they can hold it for a few days? Might be worth a try, you never know!

Hi, I saw brown. I'm unsure if they had other colors. I agree with you calling tomorrow to see what happens ☺️ Best of luck.
