You called and they couldn't tell you what colors they had in stock? Oh that's strange, maybe you called at a busy time. I would try again - try first thing in the am. A dark color is pretty broad, is there a specific color you want? If I get a chance to speak with my SA today, I'll ask her.

I am fine with gray, brown, or black, preferably black.

Please see my post earlier in the thread ... it is lovely that people are willing to use their SA connections to ask about inventory; if you are interested, good luck visiting the store to make the purchase arrangements.

I certainly saw your first post but I hope there is no misunderstanding because I didn't imply or tell them to help me buy the items. I just asked if someone can be kind enough to ask the SAs if they are visiting the NY stores about inventory.

I will certainly arrange the purchases myself. Peace.

Luxurylover, have you tried calling again?

I actually spoke to my SA first thing in the morning (before you posted your desired colors) but forgot to ask if they had any inventory. Sorry! I got caught up discussing my own things.

Fyi- I don't think they ship from the store; you'd have to make a trip in, I think.

I guess I will need to make a trip in when I travel to the city... What did the SA say in regards to the wallet?

And I actually posted my desired colors in the first reply but you missed it, it was in the first paragraph :p

^^ oops sorry, I missed your preferable colours. I didn't ask about wallets bc I got carried away with other items that I am interested in, and then we chatted about our lives generally as we were overdue for a catch up.

Try calling right when they open. They won't be as busy so can spend time with you. I think it is entirely fair to call ahead 1-2 days before you arrive to ask about colours, with an ask to hold the item if they have what you want. They should be able to do that for you; after all it doesn't make sense to travel into the city for a wallet they may not have.

03/29 Epsom Casaque ghw USD $10,700

Is this the one that you are talking about? I saw that but I thought that this isn't it as when I do a search online (especially Ebay) they are going for as high as 20k. I thought that it must has been because of the leather & gold hardware that stack up the cost.

WOW. I had never understood why people would ever buy and resell them but now I do. It's like sell one and get your own for free. I figured a Birkin is around 15-16k so I had never thought of getting one myself before. Now that I am going to purchase one and the actual price is a lot less than expected, I guess I'm the lucky one LOL

I was under the impression B's were $25,000. Now that I know they aren't I'm overjoyed! :smile1: With the high resale value its understandable H doesn't want to give away B's or K's.

Some Bs are more than $25k. Which size and leather are you referring to?

There are a lot of threads on pricing ... so could this thread go back to the topic of NY stores, please?

Thanks! :flowers:

There's a silk in wallet that meets your criteria on H.com. Now you don't even need to make the trip to the city!

Do you mean this one? http://m.usa.hermes.com/leather/small-leather-goods/wallets/p-feuille-silk-in-classique-5.html

I want to see if they have a compact silkin in gray, brown, or black (http://m.usa.hermes.com/leather/small-leather-goods/wallets/silk-in-compact-wallet.html).

I do love all the additions of the other black wallets though, very stylish. I wish they posted a compact silkin in black soon.

Thank you for your notification though!

I have to say nyc boutique defiantly gets better inventories vs NJ stores. Everything I asked for in NJ store all the SAs said to me no. Sorry no stock. I use Wall St boutique for my H addiction. All the staffs are very friendly and courteous. I score two rodeo charms thru this location w/o spending tons of money at other stuff (I.e housewares etc). If anyone is interest, wall st has a size 26lindy for sale as of tonight. Color is Rose Jaipur and sanguine inside

Thank you for the product information. Yes, NY has a greater quantity of goods. A SA told me Wall Street is a better home shopping base albeit smaller than Madison, they also have less traffic. They are on the same train line/ 20 minutes apart, easy to visit both on the same day.

I don't know about the manhasset boutique aside from its a private franchise and you can't return exchange items from there at madison or wall street. I haven't been able to drive out there. I do know they literally keep a waiting list.

Hi ladies. Thanks again for your suggestions. I am back from my trip. It's been a whirlwind of a week for me. Sadly I am coming back empty handed in the handbag department from this trip.

We went to both and the SAs didn't seem very friendly at Madison. We enjoyed the Wall Street location more. It is as you described and I had a few good laughs with the SA who entertained me with scarf tying. I was told twice that for a B and K the stores tend to serve their clients first and that I need to put my name down with an SA back in California. The problem is I haven't been able to shop at any one store the past few years...I'll keep trying!

I did not come away empty handed though...I'll get some pics up soon.
