I think a majority of inventory is also being held for the new opening as well. I was pretty much told that I would be able to get the bag I am looking for once the new store opens. Inventory is still coming in, but to others’ points, likely tagged with a customer’s name once it comes in.
I was basically told the same thing with an added reason of the French artisans all being on vacation the entire month of August

Check with your regular SA at Madison but I believe the current Madison stores will be closing in mid September to allow them enough time to pack everything for the move to the new Madison store.
I heard the same, the Madison store will be closed for about half the month for the move.
When I spoke with my SA at Meatpacking last Saturday, she expressed high anxiety over the closing of Madison because H traffic will be redirected to other nearby locations. And with stock being low or held for the opening, the situation becomes all the more stressful. She mentioned Madison could be closed up to a month.
omg yes my SA at MP was concerned too. on top of a portion of existing stock being held for the opening, MP won't be getting any extra shipments next month to accommodate for the increase in traffic from Madison's closing either.
I had a nice visit with my SA at Madison. Not much stock. I did see an Evelyne 29 in Gold with GHW which I passed on. Beautiful bag but not in the colour I would have liked.
