I was told that they were taking appointments but the first 2 days are for clients that will be spending lots of $. They are anticipating making millions within the first two days

Reopening/new stores typically have a 3-5 million dollar sales target for the opening weekend (the larger the city the larger the target so I expect Madison to be $$$$$). Corporate invests a lot in these projects and doesn’t play about seeing immediate results.

I didn’t either but I texted my SA and made an appointment. My SA also said they hadn’t started making appointments for the store opening yet so I was the first of their clients to do so - so it’s still early I think?

How much are they expecting on average per client?? I was told each appt is allocated for 90min…

Calc: $5m / 2 days (fri&sat) / 25 SAs (educated guess) / 5 appts per SA (90min each) = $20k per appt which is feasible given exceptional bags will be offered

Also I heard they hired of a ton of new SAs so the number per client should be even lower. Even so, 20k isn’t that much at all.

Also to clarify I did not get an appointment for the first weekend, which now makes sense because I am definitely not a vVIP/top spender. But knowing that’s the expectation my feelings are not hurt haha

My SA said Madison will have a hundred SAs (not working at the same time!) with an emphasis on building client relationships. Some of the newer SAs are from other local boutiques.

I wonder how it works for existing clients to particular SAs if they move the SAs from other location to Madison.

I wouldn’t mind if they move my SA to Madison and dragging my profile along with her lol it would be a lot easier and closer to my apt than trekking down to MP haha

I almost broached that subject with my SA because she was asked if she wanted to transfer to Madison. She declined. I told her I’d follow her back to Madison if need be. Correct me if I’m wrong, but one’s profile stays with the store not with the SA.

And yes, Madison would be easier for me as well. Almost too easy to get to .

That's good to hear. As long as there's inventory, sales targets shouldn't be a problem!

You need a good SA to present your bag/SO requests to the SM for approvals.

Yep, as @jbeans noted, you need both a happy SA to nominate you and a happy SM to approve. I think you’ll find most SAs are swamped right now and unresponsive unless in the store face to face. Recommend making an appointment and visiting.

I need to correct a typo I made…the 3-5 mil target is PER DAY for the opening weekend, which usually starts on a Friday (and sometimes even a private VIP opening on Thursday/Thursday evening).
