Hermès New York City Stores

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask. I saw a Hermes ongoing construction inside Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island, NY.
Opening date is on Spring 2022. Anyone knows if it will be a regular leather and home goods boutique or just a small store that only sells perfume and scarf just like the one in WTC?
Don’t know about LI but the WTC (Brookfield Place) closed during COVID and never reopened…

Anyone have an idea what’s going on with Meatpacking (such as closing for the holidays)? I want to make an appointment for 12/17 and for some reason can only request up until Saturday 12/11. I was able to request an appointment for Seattle a couple of weeks in advance. Or should I just focus on Madison when I visit the city? Thank you!!

Is Madison Avenue by appointment only too? Or do they accept walk-ins?
If it's appointments only, is there an online appointment system or do I call the boutique directly?
And last question (for now, I promise) - are there 2 stores so if I want to visit to check both men and women's collections, do I have to book an appointment at both the stores?
TIA

I walked into Madison recently (dressed nicely, wearing vca jewelry, etc) and i was completely ignored. I walked up to the scarf counters with plenty of sa around & no customers but they didn't even glance at me , let alone say hello or offer assistance.
Same in each department i went to.
Eventually i just left.

This happens to me if my SA isn’t there. Now I just go by appt. Eventually, bc I hang out on housewares, and NOT on the first floor, someone will come up to ask if my SA knows I’m here. On the first floor, I recommend just asking someone for help.

the last time I was at H Madison, they were accepting walk ins, but SAs are usually busy with appts. It is a big hassle if you want your SA in the main store to help you in Mens across the street. We did it once and it required the SA to get special dispensation for the specific mens item. In normal times, our SA would just have brought it over. I believe mens is also open to walk in traffic.

At meatpacking, earlier this fall, only by appt, but if they are short staffed and you tell them you just want to look around, they will let you in (assuming it’s not too crowded)

@Tykhe, I still find Chanel 57 much friendlier (in that the doorman and SAs around the vestibule and first floor will ask right away, (after you specify you have an appt) does your SA know you are here, and do I want to go upstairs to wait (you can sit on a couch upstairs lol)

I was just there last week and although signs for appointment only were posted on the door at the Wall Street, Meatpacking, and Madison locations, I was able to walk in with no issues during the weekday.
Meatpacking district had the more friendly SAs in my opinion, Madison second, and Wall Street location was the most snooty and unhelpful. Disappointed in the service at the Wall Street location.

They will be closed for 2 weeks til the new year. This is what my SA told me a week ago

oh wow, is this because of the stock shortage? I wonder if madison will do the same. But, honestly the SAs at the NYC hermes stores deserve this. They literally get worked to the bone because of the customers' demands. I feel for them.
Yes, because of stock shortage and I agree the SA’s deserve it! It’s been such a tough year for all and everyone should enjoy the holidays
