Odedihaims, welcome to the world of Hermes! There's nothing to be intimidated about. You will fall in love with the Miami flagship boutique. Are you drawn more to silks, jewelry, leathers? Some SAs are more knowledgeable in certain areas than others. The Miami H just added 12 new SAs in conjunction with the opening of their 13,000 SF boutique.

stillfabulous, is the flagship boutique in a different location/building than it was in January 2015?

I visited the new store this past weekend. It is beautiful and the SA that helped me was very nice. I started looking at the Picotin PM and So Kelly both in Gold, my dream color. But I thought the PM was a little small for me and they didn't have an MM in stock. Then asked if they had a Kelly 28 in Gold. He came back carrying an orange box and my heart skipped a beat! But it was not Gold it was a beautiful blue/teal color(I'm new and don't know the names). It was gorgeous but I left empty handed. I was floored to even be offered any Kelly bag at all.

That's great you had such a good experience!

The new flagship boutique is one block south of the prior location where Hermes had its temporary boutique.

Flagship address:
163 Northeast 39th Street

Prior location of temporary boutique:
175 Northeast 40th Street

If you end up at the former location, there is an open plaza across the street on the south side where you can cut through and it will take you straight to the new flagship boutique. There are still some old addresses on various websites, so it's best to get your address information directly from the Hermes website. Enjoy!

Oh I was there and I saw the Kelly from far away. It was beautiful. I think they call that blue peacock blue. Which really is much more green to me. I too am looking/dreaming of a Kelly 28, but I already have a blue In 32 which I love. After the customer left which I suppose was you I asked the male SA if it was a 28, and he confirmed. I didn't ask anymore questions because I am not interested in a blue at the moment. But a 28 wow. It seems in general it is relatively easier to be offered the newer colors. It seems the classic colors are few and far between. So here is good luck to both of us in the future.
PS I love the boutique, and almost all of the SAs are super sweet and helpful, maybe only one that rubs me the wrong way.

I'll be in Miami next month and I want to stop by I would love a dark blue K, C, or B. :smile1:

Stillfabulous, thank you very much for your info. I must have missed your post b/c while in Miami I called info for the phone # of the H boutique. The telephone folks couldn't get past the word "Hermes" and I was connected first with an acupuncturist and then with the John Loeb store in the Design District. Fortunately the SA in the latter knew where the new H store was.

I thought the new store was great. It has a warm personality, a coziness, like the former H boutique in Tysons Corner VA had. (The new DC boutique I found rather boxy). Loved the service. I just thought the scarf area needed a freestanding full-length mirror b/c the only one was attached to a door SAs kept going in an out of. This is bad for concentration, for that happy first minute of getting swept up in the beauty of a new design.

I am glad you enjoyed the flagship. Thanks for visiting South Florida! I second your suggestion for another mirror option. I used the mirror on the reverse side of that staff door, too. Not only is it inconvenient, it's a bit of a hazard because in addition to the mirrored door, that area abuts the staircase. The flow could be improved there. I wonder if they are even aware of this situation. It did not interfere with my silk purchase, however, and that's a good thing!

Love South Florida. Such a change of scenery. H was a particular change of scenery b/c I haven't been in a boutique since May 2015 when I got one of the two HS I purchased during 2015. I was ready to bust out of Ban Island! And what a nice place to do it!

Any updates on this stores B/K inventory? I'm heading to Miami in June and would love to get something for my bday!
As of now their inventory is terrific. lots of everything. My sa showed me a beautiful (for size only) blue zanzibar kelly that would knock your socks off. since i have to wait to next semester I haven't inquired what is in the back but I was offered a bordeaux kelly and gold birkin in january. (i took the birkin as the bordeaux was too dark for being in Miami) Ask for Jackie, she is terrific.

Wow thanks! Should I tell Jackie "Suzie" referred me? Do you know if they sell these B/K to tourists like myself too? I keep hearing they save them for locals so they can continue that buying relationship.
